It's getting to the pointy part of the year where the to do lists become longer and the time for you becomes shorter.

All we ask this holiday season is that you don't forget to prioritise your own health. Check your breasts regularly, and book in your breast assessment now if you are due or concerned about any symptoms.

Peace of mind is the best gift this Christmas.

November marks pancreatic cancer awareness month.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest cancers in Australia. Referred to as a 'silent killer', the disease often goes unrecognised until late stages with the 5-year survival rate averaging only 14%.

Early diagnosis is the best tool we have to significantly improve disease outcomes, and there is no time like this November to raise awareness.

Stay tuned for new cancer detection blood tests for both pancreatic and ovarian cancers that will be coming to Australia next year. Register on our website for more information.

Did you know breast implant ruptures can happen without you even noticing?
Implants don’t last forever - and while they’re safe and durable, they still need a little maintenance. Regular follow-ups and imaging can detect “silent” ruptures early and help you make informed decisions about your body and health.

Your peace of mind is worth a quick check.

As we wrap up breast cancer awareness month, lets look back at the teams' recent support to another incredible Ladies Lunch put on by Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation. The team contributed to raising awareness and vital funds for the SBCF, supporting all of those who have been or may be touched by breast cancer.

Our very own Holly Boichat rocked the 2025 Survivors Catwalk. Holly spoke to us earlier this month about her own experience with breast cancer, sharing "I am an open book because I think that sharing your experience is empowering."

Have a look at some of the fun your SBC team had celebrating this beautiful event.

The Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation Ladies Lunch was once again a highlight on the calendar - an afternoon filled with connection, compassion, and commitment to a powerful cause.

This annual event raises crucial funds and awareness for breast cancer research and support, bringing together healthcare professionals, survivors, and supporters to remind us what we can achieve when we unite for a cause that touches so many lives.

We were proud to see members of our medical team take part in the runway showcase, joining colleagues from other hospitals to represent the medical community with pride. Our doctors Dr Susannah Graham, Dr Marian Roberts, Dr Fiona Long and Dr Adam Ofri, joined by Dr Lee Na Chong and Dr Joe Dusseldorp, lending their support (and style!) to the cause.

A heartfelt thank you to the Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation for their continued dedication to awareness, advocacy, and patient care.

There is no time like Breast Cancer Awareness Month to check in on your breast health.
A self examination of your breasts is essential every month for women and men of all ages. It is important to know your normal so you may detect and resolve any changes early.
