The government wants to make sure the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) supports are safe, suitable and cost-effective for people with disability.

The NDIS Evidence Advisory Committee will review a range of supports to provide advice to government. The committee is looking at the first 6 supports.

Whether you use these supports or other supports for similar goals, research them or simply care about the NDIS — we want to hear from you.

Your input will help inform advice to government to improve outcomes for NDIS participants.

If a serious incident happens while you or someone you care about is receiving NDIS support, registered providers must notify us quickly.

These incidents are called reportable incidents, and they include:

- Death
- Serious injuries
- Abuse or neglect
- Unlawful or inappropriate contact
- Restrictive practices that have not been approved.

Providers who don’t notify us, or fail to do so within the required timeframe, face serious compliance action including infringement notices and fines, compliance notices, banning orders or civil penalties.
