Across many workplaces, technology is reshaping how we prevent harm, respond to risks and support the people who keep operations running.

From platforms that streamline communication, to innovations like Rapid Globall’s latest safety companion "Scope", a robot designed to support frontline teams, these solutions exist for one purpose, protecting people before harm occurs.
And "Scope" is just one of many technologies you’ll see at Workplace Health & Safety Show Brisbane.

Innovation is accelerating fast, so if you are responsible for safety, HR, operations or wellbeing, this is your chance to explore solutions that reduce risk, save time and help your teams go home safe and well.

Learning has never been more accessible, yet many organisations are struggling to build real capability.

As AI accelerates faster than human brains can adapt, the challenge is no longer access to information, it’s designing learning that actually changes behaviour. Content is abundant, time and attention are not.

In this blog, Naomi Oyston, Head of Capability & Growth Shine Executive explores why traditional learning models are falling short, what neuroscience tells us about how people really learn, and how organisations can blend AI with human-centred design to drive performance, leadership and measurable results.

In transport, logistics and warehousing, safety rarely fails because people don’t care.
It fails when risks move faster than plans.

Between busy yards, tight schedules, shifting loads and multiple contractors, risk can build quickly. When something goes wrong, the question often isn’t who, it’s why wasn’t this anticipated?

As this one line puts it: “It’s not the plan that’s hard, it’s explaining why there wasn’t one.”

Good WHS in this sector is about clear systems, shared understanding, and making sure everyone knows how work is meant to be done, even when pressure is high.
Because when the pace increases, clarity matters more than ever.

Four sessions. Four critical conversations shaping the future of workplace safety.
If psychosocial risk, resilience and emergency preparedness are part of your remit, these sessions at Workplace Health & Safety Show Brisbane are worth prioritising.

Psychosocial risk is no longer a grey area. Insights from Georgie Chapman at HR Legal on what recent Fair Work Act reforms mean for employers in practice.

Resilience starts with mindset. Scott Reardon OAM from SiSU Collective shares how personal accountability and focus influence safer, stronger teams.

Regulators are paying closer attention. Dr. Georgi Toma at Heart Brain Works unpacks what recent psychosocial risk prosecutions reveal about what is no longer acceptable.

Safety, security and emergency management are converging. Jeff Walker from JKG Consulting explores how integrated planning strengthens preparedness and response.

In manufacturing, safety shows up long before an incident report is written.

It’s in the way a machine is set up for the next shift.
In whether a worker feels comfortable speaking up about a near miss.
In the split-second decisions made when time, output and pressure collide.

Manufacturing teams work in environments where risks are real, moving and constant. The workplaces that do safety well are the ones that listen early, design processes properly and back their people when concerns are raised.

What does good safety look like on your manufacturing floor?

What does zero harm really look like in healthcare? For leading health care providers, it means protecting patients and the people who care for them, by aligning clinical safety with workplace health systems.

Join session to explore how health organisations are reducing manual handling injuries, medication-related incidents and psychosocial risks, while still meeting complex regulatory expectations.
