Gentle yoga isn’t the easy option. It’s actually one of the most intentional things you can do for your body.

Slowing down sometimes asks more of you, not less. And for the right body at the right time, it’s exactly what’s needed.

Because some of the most profound shifts happen not in the most intense practices, but in the quietest ones. 🧡

Honest answer? It depends. 🙂

You might feel lighter. You might feel grounded. You might walk out thinking nothing happened. No two sessions are alike.

Yoga therapy isn’t about breakthrough moments. It works over time, through the practice we build together between sessions.

When the shifts come, they may be quiet, unexpected. But over time, they do come 🧡

There’s nothing sole about being a sole entrepreneur. My work is only possible because of the people who prop me up every single day.

My family, my partner, my friends, my teachers, my colleagues and mentors, the people who support my business, the people I have the privilege of interacting with everyday. You all make this possible. Thank you thank you thank you 🧡🧡🧡

Sometimes making it in person for a session can feel like hard work. I’m always happy to work with you online if that feels better for you.

My booking link offers the option of online appointments. Or DM to book or for a chat. Be well 🧡

In yoga, we work so much with the breath. You’ll often hear words like ‘notice your breath’ or ‘see where your breath lands in the body’.

If you’ve ever found it hard to focus on your breath, here are 3 ways that can help you gently stay with the breath.

1. Place your hands on your body (chest, ribs or belly) to actually ‘feel’ yourself breath.
2. Count. Count into your inhale and count down your exhale. You’re focusing on the breath via the count.
3. Visualise the breath. Imagine your breath is a ball or balloon inflating as you breathe in and deflating as you breathe out. Or imagine you’re breathing up and down a straight line. Or around a square. Use your imagination.

Breathe easy this weekend 🧡

The reason so many people give up on meditation is because they think a wandering mind means they’re failing.

It doesn’t.

Meditation isn’t about emptying your mind. It’s about noticing what’s there. That’s the mindfulness. Every time your mind drifts and you catch it? That’s not a mistake. That’s the practice working exactly as it should.
And when you guide your mind back… That’s you meditating 😌

Just some Friday musings about yoga being all about the calm. It’s not. It’s about trying to nurture steadiness. Steadiness to meet what life brings our way. We can be steady but also angry about what’s happening in the world. We can be steady and also celebrate the good. Yes, sometimes steady can feel like calm, but it’s not the same thing. And yoga is definitely not the ‘calm’ that disconnects us from feeling or being.

A yoga therapy session is about getting curious together.

It’s a collaborative space to explore what you need, why it matters, and how we can support that in a way that’s realistic for your life.

In a yoga therapy session:
- We start by clarifying your goals
- Move into a tailored assessment (breathwork, targeted movement)
- Co-create initial practices on the spot and refine them into your personalised plan
- Follow up to tweak as life, your needs and your body shift.

Want to know if yoga therapy can support you? I’m here to chat 🧡

Living with pain can feel exhausting and lonely.
Pain is more than just what’s happening in your body. It’s influenced by the nervous system, stress, emotions, and past experiences.

In yoga therapy, we meet your body exactly where it is, help the nervous system feel safer, and support the body’s own ability to respond to pain.

There’s no pushing, no fixing. Just space to rebuild trust in your body, find ease where it’s possible, and allow pain to shift in ways that feel manageable and meaningful.

Some days I’m thriving. Some I’m just getting through.

Some days I need to move. Some days I can just sit and breath. Some days I need space. And some days I just need to remember there’s still good stuff here.

This is my practice. Messy. Real. Whatever I’ve got.

Yoga therapy asks for honesty. Sometimes that looks like movement. Some days it looks like stillness.

I show up to my mat because I need it. Because I know what it’s like when nothing feels right, and you’re just trying to find something that helps.

Research shows that practices supporting breath, movement and awareness can help regulate the nervous system, and the real evidence for me is feeling it work in my own body.

Yoga. It meets me where I am, every time.

If you’re looking for support from someone who gets it, reach out. Let’s talk🧡

Yoga for productivity. Yes, you read that correctly. It’s all about listening to the body and working with the nervous system, not powering through against it.

These three practices help me stay focused, steady and resourced.

✍️Making lists is a form of mental unloading. In yoga, we practice clearing distractions so the mind can settle. Writing things down creates space and reduces the background noise.

🙆🏻‍♀️Moving my body is how I shift stagnant energy. Gentle stretches improve circulation, ease tension and help me feel more awake and present. Especially after sitting or thinking for long periods.

😌Taking short breaks to breathe or rest is nervous system care. Yoga teaches us the power of pause. Even a minute or two of conscious breathing can reset focus, lower stress and help me return with more clarity.

This is yoga off the mat.
