🧘 The Regulated Practitioner: Nervous System-Led Business Growth for Modern Health Professionals
What if the ceiling in your practice has less to do with strategy, and more to do with your nervous system?
So many practitioners are clinically brilliant and quietly running on empty. You’re doing everything β€œright,” yet something keeps growth feeling hard, income inconsistent, and the effort-to-reward ratio a little off. Sound familiar?
This webinar presented by Naturopath and Business Mentor Amy Mingin explores a refreshingly different lens on sustainable practice growth: one rooted in nervous system regulation, capacity, and what it actually means to lead from a place of safety rather than survival.
You will walk away with:
βœ… Simple, repeatable regulation tools you can apply straight away
βœ… A clearer understanding of how chronic stress quietly caps income and boundaries
βœ… A path to growth that feels ethical, safe, and genuinely aligned
βœ… Practical tools to move beyond hustle and into sustainable abundance
βœ… Ways to build a practice that supports both your financial goals and your wellbeing.
Attend live to engage in interactive discussion and an in-depth Q&A session.

Menopause is having a moment, but behind the growing conversation lies a far more complex clinical reality. Hormonal shifts in midlife are rarely isolated; they reflect decades of cumulative stress, metabolic load, and system-wide imbalance.
Naturopath and Functional Health Strategist Susan Hunter explores how to move beyond reductionist protocols and instead support women through a truly integrative lens, covering where interventions like Vitex fit, why muscle mass and creatine are becoming essential tools, and how stress physiology underpins so many of the symptoms we see in practice.
If you’re working with women in perimenopause or menopause, this is a conversation that will refine how you think, assess, and treat.

πŸŽ™οΈ 🎧 This week on Wellness by Designs:
Menopause isn’t just a hormone cliff β€” it’s a whole-body turning point that reveals the cumulative impact of decades of stress, habits, and physiological load. In this episode, naturopath and women’s health expert Susan Hunter brings over 20 years of clinical insight to the perimenopause conversation, offering a grounded, practitioner-first perspective: test where it matters, treat the individual in front of you, and move beyond one-size-fits-all protocols.
We explore when Vitex truly earns its place β€” from specific PMS symptom pictures to key pathology markers like luteal progesterone, LH:FSH patterns, prolactin, cortisol and DHEAS β€” alongside when to reconsider its use. The conversation then expands into the often-overlooked foundations of midlife health, including protein intake, muscle mass, bone integrity, and the evolving role of creatine monohydrate in both physical and cognitive support. We close by unpacking the pervasive role of chronic stress and practical nervous system strategies to help patients feel more resilient, steady, and supported through this transition.
A valuable listen for practitioners wanting to refine their clinical approach and deliver more precise, individualised care in midlife health.

🍫🐰HAPPY EASTER CHOCOHOLICS!
Easter chocolate doesn’t have to be just a guilty pleasure! Research shows high-quality cocoa creates a beautiful dance with your gut microbiome, enhancing beneficial bacteria while reducing harmful ones. 🍫✨
Cocoa polyphenols undergo a remarkable transformation in our digestive system. While only 5-10% are absorbed in the small intestine, the remaining 90-95% reach the colon where our gut bacteria convert them into powerful bioactive compounds.
This remarkable process supports not just digestive health, but cardiovascular function, improved blood flow, reduced inflammation, and more.
So this Easter, choose quality chocolate with a higher cocoa content of 70% or more, and low sugar, enjoy mindfully, and know you’re doing something wonderful for your gut ecosystem.

Swipe through for the science behind your chocolate cravings! πŸ‘‰

GLP-1 agonists are changing the clinical landscape, and many patients are navigating them with little to no nutritional, behavioural, or gut-focused support.
For practitioners, this creates a real opportunity to help.
From bowel regularity and protein intake to muscle preservation, hydration, food noise, and exit planning, there is so much practitioners can do to improve the patient experience and support more sustainable outcomes.
The takeaway is that these medications may influence appetite and weight, but they do not replace holistic care.

The practitioners role is to help patients stay nourished, supported, and better prepared, before, during, and after treatment.

πŸŽ™οΈ πŸŽ“ This week on Wellness by Designs:
Is perimenopause a hormonal breakdown β€” or a redirection of power?
In this episode, we sit down with naturopath and feminine wisdom teacher Brenda Rogers to explore menopause through a neuroadrenal lens, shifting the clinical focus away from fluctuating s*x hormones and towards what truly stabilises patients in practice. We unpack the role of nervous system regulation, blood sugar balance, and sleep depth, alongside the clinical importance of helping women understand what is physiologically normal during midlife. This conversation also explores the thinning of the β€œoestrogen veil” and how this transition can heighten both sensitivity and intuition, while cultural narratives continue to amplify anxiety, low mood, and self-doubt.
From a therapeutic perspective, we discuss practical strategies that move the needle, from protein-forward nutrition and key minerals for sleep and muscular ease, to targeted testing without overvaluing s*x hormone panels. Brenda shares insights on herbal prescribing that aligns with real-life demands, including saffron, kava, and Withania, while reminding us that clarity and consistency often outperform complexity in clinical care. This episode offers a grounded, clinically relevant blueprint for supporting women through perimenopause with more confidence, precision, and purpose.

🐟 πŸ”Ž Omega-3 & Psychological Distress: What Does the Evidence Show?
This randomised controlled trial provides clinically relevant insight into the effects of omega-3 (EPA/DHA) supplementation in individuals presenting with elevated psychological distress.
Over 12 weeks, significant improvements were observed across validated measures of stress, anxiety, depression, sleep quality, and everyday memory, compared to placebo. No significant effect was observed for daytime sleepiness.
While exploratory in nature and based on self-reported outcomes, the findings highlight the potential role of omega-3 as an adjunctive consideration in clinical practice, particularly in patients with higher baseline symptom burden.
