Tonight, our CEO, Kara Dario attended the Sydney Kings Mental Health round supporting Charity Partner Talk2MeBro.

Supporting fellow organisations with aligned goals and mission is so important to us. Jack Brown and Kevin White (pictured) drive an important message in reducing su***de to zero across Australia. Su***de is unfortunately a common topic for many clients we support at Maverick Supports, especially during the silly season!

We cant wait to work more with Talk2MeBro in 2026! Watch this space!

Our Christmas Party was a truly great night, one that gave us the opportunity to come together, celebrate, & reflect on the wins & growth of 2025.

It was especially important for us to recognise team members who have consistently performed above & beyond this year. Those who were in attendance were genuinely chuffed just to be acknowledged, which says everything about the calibre of our team.

🏆 Award recipients on the night included:
✈️ Trev – Phoenix Award (our most valuable pilot)
✈️ Allycia – Cadet of the Year
✈️ Thomas (pink shirt) – Radar Disrupter Award for innovation
✈️ Don (red/white shirt) – Mach 1 Award for general awesomeness & absolutely being on fire

We also celebrated several outstanding team members who couldn’t be there on the night:
✈️ Kristy – Top Gun Award
✈️ Raj – Flight School Ace for most courses completed
✈️ Emre – Radar Disrupter Award for innovation

As we head into 2026, we do so with a clear understanding of what it takes to get the job done - & how important it is to work not just for our community, but within it. With strength, determination, & passion, we remain committed to working with our clients & participants, not just for them.

🎄 A Pre-Christmas Highlight Worth Sharing 🎄

Just before Christmas, on December 20, our Founder & Director, , attended the Chamber of Commerce Christmas Party - a wonderful way to wrap up the business year & connect with the local community before the festive break.

As a new member (new in 2025), Kara was invited to introduce herself & & was officially welcomed with a membership certificate - marking the start of an exciting relationship with the as we head into the New Year.

To top off the night, Kara also walked away with a raffle prize 🎁 - a huge box of Bluey items. What a haul, and a fun way to finish the evening with some extra Christmas cheer!

A big thank you to the Campbelltown Chamber of Commerce for the warm welcome & a great night. We’re looking forward to strengthening connections & stepping into the New Year as part of this supportive business community.

CHRISTMAS WISHES COME TRUE!

We recently started working with a client who has been in custody for 3 yrs. He is re-entering community and learning how to navigate life again. Last week, he told us he was trying to get a TV from Facebook marketplace but kept getting messed around.

He'd asked for a TV with a DVD player, so he could watch his extensive DVD collection and stay out of trouble. We put on our thinking caps and headed to our local and much loved Op Shop!

I found a TV with half the cord in the back dusty corner. When Nat from Auntiz Op Stop heard this TV would go to client we support, she immediately pulled out a new in box version - so we would be sure it works perfectly! Then when I tried to pay for this 22inch TV with DVD player, new in the box, Nat said absolutely not! Merry Christmas to you and your client.

I was floored. This gesture doesnt go unnoticed or unappreciated. We were happy to help our client but Nat took it to the next level and restored all our faith in humanity at the craziest time of year!

This story is not about anything special we've done at Maverick Supports. Its a story of knowing your network, your network recognising what you do, and everyone working together to achieve a beautiful outcome in time for Christmas! Our client was absolutely thrilled to receive a call that this TV is on his way to him today!

Not every challenge waits for business hours, and neither do we.

One of our participants reached out after hours feeling overwhelmed, stressed & unsure what to do next. Our team stepped in immediately, talked them through it & arranged the right support to keep them grounded and safe.
