A Soulful Farewell to Dr Krishn Kumar Ji 🙏

On 14th June 2025, we lost a true pillar of Ayurveda in Australia — Dr Krishn Kumar Ji. His passing has left a deep void in our hearts and our community.

On 26th June, we gathered to honour his life and legacy at his funeral, surrounded by many dedicated Ayurveda practitioners and well-wishers. It was a solemn yet inspiring moment to reflect on his contributions and the values he lived by.

One especially emotional photo we shared was a screenshot from our Executive Committee meeting held on 29th May. Despite being in immense physical pain, Dr Krishn Kumar Ji attended and participated actively. This image captures the strength of his spirit, his commitment to Ayurveda, and the depth of his leadership.

I was deeply inspired by the South Australia team—Lee, Adrian, Dr Vishal Bhalla, Dr Bosco, Reiko, Dr Nigam, and Dr Purvita—whose motivation and unity were a true tribute to Dr Krishn Kumar Ji’s vision. Meeting all of you filled me with hope.

Together, we made a collective promise: to honour his legacy by working with dedication, unity, and sincerity to grow Ayurveda in Australia.

🕉️ In Loving Memory – A Great Loss to the Ayurvedic Community 🕯️

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of the Founder and Patron of the Australasian Association of Ayurveda (AAA) today.

A visionary, teacher, and guiding light, Dr Krishna Kumar, dedicated his life to the preservation, promotion, and practice of authentic Ayurveda in Australia and beyond. His contribution to the Ayurvedic fraternity has been immense and his loss is deeply felt by all of us at AAA and the wider Ayurvedic community.

He was not only a pioneer but a compassionate soul who inspired countless practitioners and students through his wisdom, humility, and unwavering commitment to healing and holistic wellness.

🕉️ May his soul attain eternal peace.
We extend our deepest condolences to his family, disciples, and all who were touched by his noble work.
His legacy will live on in our hearts and through the path of Ayurveda he so passionately nurtured.

🌿 Celebrating Ayurveda Day in Melbourne! 🌿

It was a fantastic day as the Australasian Association of Ayurveda (AAA), in collaboration with CGI Melbourne, All India Institute of Ayurveda Sciences, and the AYUSH Information Cell Australia, celebrated Ayurveda Day in Melbourne.

Special thanks to Consul General Dr. Sushil Kumar and Consul commercial Mr. Hemant Kumar Pandey ji from CGI Melbourne for their invaluable support in making this event a success.

As President of AAA, I, Dr. Naveen Shukla, was honored to attend with AYUSH Chair Dr. S. Rajagopala. Our distinguished speakers—Dr. Ramakant Yadav, Dr. Rajaram Mehto, Dr. Roopa Kannanur, and Dr. Pallavi Tivarkar—delivered inspiring talks, and our MC Dr. Roop Kiran made the event engaging and memorable.

A special highlight was the beautiful and healthy Ayurveda-inspired food provided by Juice Veda. The Ayurvedic herbal tea, fresh green juice, sugarcane juice, kanji, vegetable wraps, millet dishes, and more added a refreshing and authentic flavor to the event, leaving everyone energized and inspired by Ayurveda’s wholesome nutrition!
