The AYAH was filled with beautiful music last week, thanks to a talented student from Manly Selective Campus who dropped in to play for our patients and families. 🎹

This piano was originally donated by a generous local community member, and it's always great to hear it being put to such good use.

Moments like this bring so much comfort to the AYAH. A big thank you to Toby from Manly Selective for sharing his time and talent with us.

$6,000+ raised, countless kilometers covered, and one incredible community coming together. 👟🌊

This year, the AYAH partnered with local Northern Beaches event STRYDE4 Day to fund a critical new role: a paid Volunteer Team Leader for our facility. Our crew took on every challenge, but the absolute inspiration of the day was Niki.

Niki joined us to honor her beautiful daughter, Ange, who passed away at age 21 from Lafora Disease, a form of Childhood Dementia. From hitting the course to diving into ocean pool swims, Niki brought pure heart, energy, and determination to every single moment—all for Ange. ✨

Niki’s personal fundraising total is currently sitting at a massive $2,694!

Our 4-week creative residency wasn't just a pilot—it was a masterclass in agency. 15+ participants moved from 'patient' to Artist, producing works for our professional exhibition, "In Good Company," now permanently installed at the North Shore Health Hub.

Scott lives with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and has been staying with us at the AYAH for periods of respite since we first opened our doors. When he's not cheering on the Manly Sea Eagles or perfecting his tea order, he's creating — and what he creates is genuinely special. 🕯️💌

Scott handcrafts beautiful candles and cards, and with Mother's Day just around the corner, we can't think of a more thoughtful gift. A premium, handmade item from a remarkable young person.

Scott has big plans to launch his own online store one day, and knowing him, he'll absolutely get there. But this week, you have a chance to get in early.
