www.innerjourneyhw.com.au Kinesiology is the study of body movement. This natural health modality involves the use of gentle muscle testing to discover areas of imbalance and stress within the body, then applying various techniques to assist with clearing these imbalances. The key focus of my approach is on self-responsibility and understanding that our thoughts, emotions and beliefs are the key drivers of our reality. Understanding and addressing these aspects can help bring about balance within ourselves, providing a solid foundation for optimal health and wellness.

Meet your practitioner. Hi, I’m Thomas and my journey into healing began with a deep curiosity about the root causes of health challenges and their connection to our thoughts and emotions.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and over five years of experience working as a parole officer, I bring a unique perspective on how our internal processes shape our health, well-being, and overall quality of life.

My time as a parole officer has helped to hone my skills in perception and understanding, allowing me to support others in identifying the root causes of their challenges and fostering lasting change. This role also gave me invaluable experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma, reinforcing the importance of creating a safe and supportive space for transformation.

Through my recent studies in Kinesiology and Mind Body Medicine, I’ve embraced a holistic approach to supporting individuals. By combining my existing knowledge with the wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine, I’ve gained tools to help identify and release emotional blocks, reconnect people with their inner selves, and lay the foundation for meaningful, lasting change.

My goal is to help you feel reconnected, revitalized, and deeply relaxed by providing a safe and welcoming space to explore the root causes of your challenges. If you’re ready to step into a healthier, more balanced version of yourself, I’d love to guide and support you on your journey.

At its core, kinesiology is the study of movement—but it’s so much more than that! It’s about understanding the body’s signals to uncover the root causes of stress and imbalance.

Stress often shows up as tension stored in the body, which, if left unresolved, can affect your physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

In a kinesiology session, we explore the emotions and thought patterns behind these imbalances in a safe, relaxing space. Together, we release tension and help your body restore balance, so you can feel lighter, clearer, and more aligned.

If you’re feeling stuck, stagnant, or ready to elevate your health and wellness, contact me to book your session and take the first step on your journey to balance and vitality.

Stress can be defined as a state of worry or mental tension caused by a difficult situation. It is a normal reaction to a challenging situation and prepares our body for immediate action by releasing hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline. While this is an important survival mechanism, if left long term, these chemical processes can have a detrimental impact upon the body. Stress can affect some of the following areas:

• Digestion – Stress can affect digestive function leading to issues such as bloating, discomfort, and poor ability to breakdown food. If our body is unable to properly process food, this can lead to poor nutrient absorption and low energy levels.

• Immune system – Chemicals such as cortisol and adrenaline act to suppress the immune system which can lead to increased chances of physical ailments such as colds and flu. In the case of sickness, a lower immune system will also mean a slower recovery from the illness.

• Sleep – Stress can lead to an increased heart rate, excessive thinking and worry, which in turn can make it difficult to fall asleep and to stay asleep. The resulting lack of sleep can then in turn exacerbate these issues and further increase stress levels, creating a self-sustaining loop.

• Relationships – The above physical effects on the body can also have an impact on our mental and emotional health, including a low tolerance to frustration. Situations that have previously never been an issue are suddenly very difficult to deal with and this can impact upon our relationships with others.

Kinesiology can help to address stress by finding the main related thought patterns and to assist the body to return to a state of calm. If you resonate with any of the above issues and want to work on your stress, send Thomas a message to find out more and book a session today.
