Our hard times create character. Our challenges build resilience and strength.
Even though ill circumstances are not ideal at the time, more often than not we can reflect upon these times as important and sometimes very necessary.
One thing that we may not immediately understand about our circumstances is that others have gone through them too!
Often we will find that a friend, family member or maybe even a complete stranger may have some insight into your very situation if they only knew what we were dealing with.
Being vulnerable is a difficult thing to be in a world that seems to only care about itself. This often leads to us to feeling isolated, alone and depressed.
Talking to someone can help us gain a different perspective and often better clarity than we otherwise may not of had. It also helps us realise we are only human.
We arent suggesting that we should openly voice our problems to anyone that will listen or plaster it all over social media,
BUT, letting down our defences when the opportunities arise with people we feel comfortable with will draw a connection that will surprise us almost everytime.
Too often we give automated answers when asked, "How are you?", "Are you Ok?" "Is everything alright?" or "Whats going on?"
We dont always have to shield our egos from the shame of being unsure or hurt by a situation. Being open can aid our healing and help build a stronger connection with others.
Its not weak to speak. It takes courage to be vulnerable.
If you are dealing with something that feels like too much for you alone, reach out to someone. It will help build a connection with others and yourself.
