WHAT IS TINNITUS?
Tinnitus is the perception of sound in the absence of external auditory stimuli. It may be experienced as ringing, buzzing, humming, hissing, or even a pulsating sensation in the ears. Although tinnitus is not a standalone ailment, it commonly serves as a symptom of an underlying condition, including age-related hearing loss, exposure to loud noises, ear infections, or specific medications. It can occur in one or both ears and may be persistent or sporadic.
👂 SYMPTOMS:
Persistent ringing or buzzing sounds represent the most prevalent symptom of tinnitus, varying in intensity from mild to severe
😴 Sleep Disruption: Tinnitus has the potential to interfere with sleep, making it challenging to initiate or maintain a restful sleep. This disruption can result in fatigue, irritability, and difficulties concentrating throughout the day.
🥹Emotional Strain: The constant intrusion of sounds in tinnitus may induce anxiety, depression, and stress, affecting individuals emotionally.
😣Challenges in Concentration and Communication: Tinnitus's presence can hinder the ability to concentrate on tasks or participate in conversations, resulting in frustration and reduced productivity.
