Today, on World Sight Day 2024, we are inspiring young people to prioritise their vision and eye health.

Starting with our next generation, the leaders of tomorrow. We are committed to educating and raising the importance of protecting young children's eyes—from reducing screen time and spending more outdoors to seeking help for discomfort.

Together, we are creating a future where every child can access the eye care they need to thrive. Join us and millions globally in making eye health a priority.

What is PRK?

In PRK, the epithelium, the layer of cells covering the cornea, is gently removed and the excimer laser sculpts the cornea to correct refractive error. A 'bandage' contact lens is placed on the eye following the procedure to speed the epithelial regeneration, which usually takes three to four days.
