Plantar Warts🦶
Plantar warts are hard, grainy growths that appear on the bottom of your feet, caused by the HPV virus. They commonly spread through communal areas like pools, locker rooms, and public showers through contact with infected surfaces.
⚠️ How They Affect You: Plantar warts may make it painful to walking, run, or stand.
💡 What It Looks Like: Small, rough, and grainy bumps on the sole of your foot usually with tiny black dots (blood vessels) in the centre.
🦶 Tips to Avoid Plantar Warts:
- Wear sandals or water shoes in communal showers, pool areas, and locker rooms.
- Keep feet dry and clean to reduce the risk of infection.
- Avoid walking barefoot in public spaces, especially in damp areas.
💡 How to Fix It:
- There are many options for treatment. Book an appointment with your podiatrist to discuss your personalised treatment plan!
- Be consistent with treatment and don’t pick at the wart to avoid spreading it or causing further irritation!
