Who Are We:
Juliana Village is a non-for-profit residential aged care nestled in Miranda, NSW. We offer high-quality residential care, as well as a range of lifestyle and wellness programs to support the wellbeing of our residents.

What You’ll Do:
• Share time and chat with elderly residents
• Help with activities like games, arts & crafts, or gentle exercise
• Provide emotional support and a friendly presence

🌟 Reflecting on a Wonderful Learning Experience! 🌟

We recently had the pleasure of hosting the "Daily Dose" English course, generously offered by Kim Fouracre, the daughter of our former resident, Joyce Murray. Kim's sessions were a fantastic opportunity for our team to improve their language skills, learn more about Australian Vernacular, and even have a bit of fun with Rhyming slang!

We had a great turnout, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. It's been a privilege to see our staff engage in such a unique and enriching learning experience.

A huge thank you to Kim for offering this course, we are so grateful for this lovely gesture!

Last week, we had a fantastic time celebrating Aged Care Employee Day at Juliana Village. As a bit of fun, we invited everyone to come to work dressed in their pyjamas! 💤

The past week, our Juliana Village community came together to celebrate Christmas in July, and it was a magical experience! The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the joyful dancing, where residents and staff alike took to the floor to showcase their moves.

📢 Join Our Team at Juliana Village! 📢

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to join our Catering Department at Juliana Village, located at 58 Miranda Rd, Miranda NSW 2228.

🔹 Position Type: Part Time / Casual
🔹 Department: Catering
🔹 Reporting to: Chef/Catering Manager

Role Summary:
As a Kitchen Hand, you will assist in the preparation and serving of meals, setting and clearing meal tables, and cleaning dishes, utensils, and the kitchen area.

Key Responsibilities:
🍽️ Assist with the receipt of food supplies and preparation of meals as per the approved menu.
🍽️ Store and rotate food supplies following our Food Safety Policy.
🍽️ Prepare meals according to residents’ needs and preferences.
🍽️ Carry out catering services as delegated by the Catering Manager.

Qualifications:

Essential:
✅ Food Handling Certificate
✅ Good understanding of food hygiene
✅ Ability to work as part of a team
✅ Strong communication skills
✅ Excellent customer service approach

Desirable:
🔹 Previous experience in a similar role
🔹 Valid NDISWC clearance (or willingness to apply)
🔹 Evidence of Covid-19 and Influenza vaccinations

For as little as 1 hour a fortnight you can give friendship and
companionship to an older person who may be feeling isolated. You can do things together like:
