Looking for a study break? Join Dr Karl for a fun hour on his "Periodic Tale", exploring topics such as:

How do you trust newspaper headlines like "Is starvation really a health hazard?" and "Teen pregnancies drop off significantly after age 25"? How can you trust images and words any more with the rise of deepfake audio and video? And why are the Flat Earthers trying to pull a swiftie on you? How did two big chunks of the Moon end up inside the Earth?

Buckle up for the ride and bring your questions for the Q&A!

Dr Karl just loves science to pieces and has been spreading the word in print, on TV and radio, and online via social media for more than thirty years.

The author of 48 books (and counting) Dr Karl is a lifetime student with degrees in physics and mathematics, biomedical engineering and medicine and surgery.

Since 1995, Dr Karl has been the Julius Sumner Miller Fellow at the University of Sydney and in 2019 he was awarded the UNESCO Kalinga Prize for the Popularisation of Science.
