Patient attended the clinic with an ongoing issues with a corn at the bottom of the foot. As the patient has had no relief after any treatment this is normally a sign of a foreign object embedded into the skin. The patient was referred for an ultrasound which confirmed a foreign object either glass or metal that was embedded into subcutaneous tissue.

One assessment we use for investigating leg length differences is malleolus position. Marking the medical malleolus (ankle) we can check for possible Leg length different. Followed up by EOS scan.

Patient with obvious pronation flat feet. Seen in Resting Calcaneal Stance Position. Which gives you the measurements and severity of pronation. Normally treated with custom orthotics.

Patient with ongoing knee issues was sent for an MRI. Podiatrist can refer for MRI scan only as private referral (using cost $150-$200). This MRI shows subcondrol bone cyst. Normally asymptomatic however to be reviewed by orthopedic surgeon.

Plantar warts can be larger then they look. This wart only appeared small on the surface, but ultrasound reported a much mass. This patient was referred to a surgeon to be done in a hospital with post-op care. Mass also sent to pathology.

Sometimes you need to look closely into the x-rays. Salter-Harris fracture distal IPJ. Comparing to the left foot, it's obvious you can see the difference and alignment. Small fragments also visible.
