When someone has occupied your thoughts, body or mind, their energy can linger in your field. You don't need closure to clear it, just awareness and intention.

You don't need to hate them, think negatively about them, just reclaim your energy and return to yourself.

Close your eyes and say their name either silently or out loud. Notice your body's reaction, clenched jaw, tightness, constriction, breath holding, heaviness. That is energetic residue.

Visualise them in front of you and imagine energetic cords running between you connecting from the heart, mind, stomach, throat, anywhere you feel the connection.

This is the important part, say with love and it must be with love no negative thoughts,
I release you,
I return your energy to you and I call mine back to me

Then visualise the cords dissolving or you cutting them

Take a few deep breaths, filling your body with light and releasing any heaviness and darkness
See yourself glowing
You are safe

If someone keeps showing up in your body and or mind, you are probably keeping the connection alive unintentionally. You can redo this ritual to cleanse the residual energy that is surfacing

While it may not just refer to a career change it could be a change within your current career, a change in location, a change of workplace or a mindset change.
