‘I feel so out of place in this new job…
This is should be my dream job! I found an amazing role in a great company and I'm working with a wonderful team. But this industry is so new to me, I’m struggling to keep up and to understand what I’ve got myself into. I have a similar background but, I’m just struggling, I feel out of place…’

Imposter syndrome is quite common particularly when you are starting a new job. Self-doubt, underperformance and lack of progression are signs of imposter syndrome. Whilst it feels difficult to move through it is important to address how you are feeling, obtain feedback where you can and check in with those closest to you especially if you are going through a hard time.
