🌟 Bright Impact Award Winner – Mei! 🌟

We’re proud to announce that former volunteer turned superstar personal trainer (and admin assistant), Mei, is the recipient of our latest Bright Impact Award.

This award recognises the team member who has contributed most to growing the impact of Bright Wellness each cycle — and Mei has done exactly that.

Mei has made a meaningful difference in her work with Carmel, showing consistent commitment, reliability, and genuine care throughout her journey. Through her support, Carmel has been able to build a stronger routine around exercise, leading to improved consistency week to week.

👏 Congratulations, Mei — and thank you for the energy, enthusiasm, and care you bring to the team every day.

Watch how we gamify reverse lunges: balance a tennis ball on the foam pad the entire time you’re lunging. It turns strength training into a fun, focused challenge that hits the body AND the brain.

More playful = more engagement
More cognitive demand = better coordination & focus

Everyone's favourite CEO has been on fire lately!

The past few weeks have seen some really positive shifts in Richard's weight, moving towards his target weight of 90kg...still a bit to go but we are really stoked with his progress.

This is a team effort.

Firstly, kudos to Richard's Supported Independent Living House for taking care of Ricky around the clock and keep an eye on him during his late night fridge raid attempts.

But also a big shout out to 2 of the Bright Wellness team and ( .40 ) who take out Ricky twice a week and gives him so much joy. Ricky gets to choose what he wants to do - we make it all about him. We are just there to guide him, to support him to make compromises where needed, and to ensure we promote healthy behaviours and decision making.

Let's go Ricky. 90kg is on the horizon!

Spending time moving outdoors can be a refreshing change of pace, especially if most of your week is spent indoors. Training in local parks lets you work on your fitness while enjoying fresh air, sunlight and connecting to nature.

For many of our clients, this means:

feeling less isolated and more connected to the community

practising movement on paths, grass and gentle slopes which carryover to day-to-day life

easing stress by being in nature

Whether you prefer a gym environment, a quiet park or a mix of both, we can plan sessions around what feels most motivating for you.

Lunges are a powerful exercise for building strength and balance, and they can be adapted to many different bodies and mobility levels. When used thoughtfully, they support not just “fitness”, but also movements in everyday life.

Here are a few reasons we like to use them with our clients:

They build ankle, knee and hip strength to support standing, transfers and walking.

They challenge balance and stability, which may help reduce wobbles and falls.

Range of motion can be easily modified and performed supported or static to suit different ability levels.
They copy everyday movements so practise can carry over into daily life.

If you or someone you support lives with a disability and would like to be supported with exercise, our team at Bright Wellness can help you with movement that feels right for your body.
