It was such a privilege to be part of the Westmead Nursing & Midwifery Symposium, celebrating the outstanding nurses, midwives and teams who make such a meaningful difference across Westmead.

These special visits bring comfort, connection and smiles to patients, families and staff throughout the hospital. From wagging tails to warm cuddles, the therapy dogs and their dedicated volunteer handlers make a meaningful difference every single day.

Reflecting on International Nurses Day, celebrated on the 12th of May, we are reminded of the incredible compassion, skill and dedication nurses bring to our hospitals every single day.

We were delighted to celebrate our nurses with special hampers delivered across the wards. It was a wonderful joint effort, made possible by our amazing sponsor , who generously built and packed the hampers, together with the support of the wonderful team , who volunteered their time to help us deliver them to nurses throughout the hospital.

To every nurse across Westmead, thank you for the care, kindness and strength you show each day. We are so grateful for everything you do for patients, families and our community.
