✨ Myofascial Cupping Therapy ✨
Myofascial is a therapy that is used on the fascia and connective tissues in the body to release tension, help with numbness due to injuries and scars, emotional release attached to areas of body and help with flexibility and movement.

The is a web of connective tissue in your body that can tighten due to injury, stress, chronic tension and emotional reasons. When working with this tissue so much physical and emotional healing can take place. Cupping works by flooding the area with new blood so as stagnant blood and lymph can be flushed out. Those marks you see with cupping differ depending on what is going on underneath the surface.

As a trained Somatic Trauma Therapist I am also here to hold a safe space for anything that may come up emotionally when cupping.

Research shows that cupping can help a range of issues from muscle tension and headaches to anxiety and sleep issues.

Cupping can be carried out as a stand alone session or alongside any of my Myofascial Release and Massage sessions.

There should be no pain with cupping but a mild sensation is normal due to the nature of the treatment working on the fascia, but as always with all my treatments we assess your body that day 💛

One of the many amazing things about Somatic therapy is we try to put our thoughts aside and feel what’s going on in our body. If you have suffered from anxiety the cycle mentioned in the slide will be all too familiar to you. The beautiful thing is there is a way out of this cycle, to feel the fear. Sometimes to enter this fear on your own is too much for the body, it feels too unsafe. A Somatic Trauma Therapy session is where you have the chance to enter this feeling with support and to feel held. Things aren’t so scary with companionship. You don’t need to do this on your own, this is what we are trained to do. To help you realise the power of getting over that anxious lies within you, with a bit of help and support.

Is this cycle all too familiar to you? Let me know in the comments.

Follow for events, workshops and one to one sessions.

Sometimes it can be nerve wracking to make the first step into therapy. One thing to remember is you have survived until now, the hard parts done. The amazing thing about Somatic therapy is as it is a body practice talking is minimal, We dive into sensations and emotions stored in the body relating to triggers and trauma. This way we are feeling and reassuring our nervous system that it is safe to let go and relax, reregulation is the key to overcoming Trauma.
