How do you make time for your recovery with everything else on your plate?

As a mum of three boys, business owner with 20 incredible massage therapists, and a fitness enthusiast training for my first-ever triathlon (yes, I’m scared 😅), Sundays have become my sacred space.

It’s my day to reset, recover, and recharge for the week ahead.

Here’s what a typical Sunday looks like for me:
• A long run or swim to clear my head
• A magnesium bath to soothe my muscles
• Catching up on emails and planning my week
• Booking in for my own massage (non-negotiable!)
• Spending time with my family
• Ticking off the laundry, school bags, and meal prep. for the week ahead!

✨ My 3 go-to life hacks for finding time to recover:
1. Schedule it like an appointment — If it’s not in your calendar, it won’t happen.
2. Stack recovery with something else — Listen to a podcast while stretching or in the bath. Go for a run or a swim with a friend
3. Say no without guilt — Every “yes” to others is a “no” to something else for yourself. Protect your recharge time.

You can’t pour from an empty cup. Recovery isn’t indulgent—it’s essential.

A massive shoutout to my brother, Anthony, for completing his Fourth Peaks Challenge ! 💪 This is an incredible achievement, and I couldn’t be prouder. The Peaks Challenge isn’t just any ride—it’s one of Australia’s toughest cycling events, pushing riders to their limits with 235 km of grueling terrain and over 4,000 meters of climbing through Victoria’s stunning High Country.

Held in Falls Creek, this iconic one-day event is a true test of endurance, strength, and determination. Riders take on some of the most infamous climbs, including Tawonga Gap, Mount Hotham, and the beast that is the Back of Falls. Completing it once is a feat—four times is just legendary!

Big News and a Bittersweet Goodbye!

As I head off for a couple of weeks of well-deserved holiday fun, I’m leaving the clinic in the incredible hands of our superstar Receptionist, Kayleigh! 🌟

Kayleigh is the heart of our front desk—greeting every client with her radiant smile, caring for our Massage Therapists like family, and keeping everything running smoothly. 💕

But here’s the bittersweet part… Kayleigh will be leaving us in a couple of months 😢. She’s been such a joy to have on the team, and she’ll truly be missed!

This also means we’ll soon be on the lookout for a new amazing Receptionist to join our team. If you, or someone you know, would love to work in a warm, supportive, and fun environment, send them our way! 🙌

Established in 1983 Jackie’s passion and love of massage has grown into a thriving business in Sydney’s CBD. Our mission is to provide the highest level of massage therapy and service to ensure all our clients leave feeling better, pain free and relaxed so they are able to achieve their own personal fitness and health goals. Jackie enjoys seeking out Sydney’s best therapist’s and passing on some of her own favourite and effective massage techniques to them so that all clients attending receive an amazing Remedial Massage every time.
