I had the best collaboration catch-up with the gorgeous Erin Hawken .chiropractic , and it reminded me how powerful it is when women in business genuinely support each other. Not just in work, but in life too.

Massage and chiropractic care work beautifully hand in hand. Spinal health, muscle care, nervous system regulation — when you bring it all together, the results for our clients are next level. Pain-free, mobile, functioning bodies living their best lives. That’s always the goal.

Erin has also treated my kids since they were little, supporting their growing bodies and keeping everything aligned and moving well over the years. So this collaboration is not just professional — it’s personal and built on real trust.

My Happy Place – Fridays at JSM.

I don’t usually work Fridays…

But today was special.

Being in clinic with my Friday team reminded me why I built this place in the first place.

The energy.
The laughter between clients.
The quiet focus in the treatment rooms.
The care in every set of hands.

I feel beyond blessed to have the most incredible team of therapists.

They are loyal.
Supportive.
Kind.
Great fun to work with.
And genuinely gifted healers.

Every single one of them shows up to help people feel better in their body. That’s not something I take lightly.

Thirty years in this industry… and I still get emotional watching it all in motion.

7:30am Friday. First client done.

The city is just waking up…
and we’ve already helped someone breathe properly again.

Did you know we’re open 7:30am – 10pm. Seven days a week.

Before work.
After work.
Whenever your body needs it.

By Friday most bodies are carrying the week:
• Tight neck
• Clenched jaw
• Heavy shoulders

The 2026 Sydney Half Marathon is on Sunday 3 May 2026.

That means we are 11 weeks and 3 days away.

Not ages.
Not tomorrow.
But close enough that it’s time to get serious.

I’m starting to slowly build my kilometres now.
Not sure how I’m going to go yet… but that’s half the fun. You commit first. You figure it out second.

TRAINING IS IMPORTANT.

But recovery is what keeps you on the start line.

Here’s my number one rule for every runner:

If you don’t have time to stretch before your run…
You must make time to stretch after.

Injury prevention is not glamorous.
But it wins races.

My top 4 non-negotiables — hold each for 30 seconds minimum:

• Quads
• Glutes
• Hamstrings
• Calves

If you only do those four consistently, you will dramatically reduce your risk of flare-ups.

Tight hips pull on hamstrings.
Tight calves overload Achilles.
Neglect adds up.

Simple. Clear. Effective.

And please — start booking your recovery massages now.

We recommend:
• Weekly in the final lead-up if you can manage it
• Minimum fortnightly if weekly isn’t realistic

Plan your recovery the same way you plan your long runs.

Put it in the diary.
Protect it.
Commit to it.

I promise you — it will save you.

Over the last few months, a number of clients have said something that genuinely surprised us.

They told us that when they searched best sports massage clinics in Sydney, ChatGPT listed us as number one. So of course… I checked. And yes — there we were.

Sydney has so many incredible remedial and sports massage clinics, so this isn’t about being “better than.” The competition is fierce, and the standard is high — as it should be.

But I won’t lie… it felt really special.

We’ve also had more overseas runners and athletes lately, especially around marathon season, saying they found us through ChatGPT too.

Feeling grateful today. For our team, our clients, and years of quietly doing the work and caring deeply about bodies.

We’ll keep our heads down and keep doing our best.

After taking 3 months off for some much-needed time to recharge, I’m officially back in the clinic and ready to massage again—strong hands, clear head, full heart.

✨ Bookings update:
My new schedule goes live tomorrow – Thursday 5 February.
I’ll be in clinic every Wednesday, plus a few other rotating days throughout the year. If you like to plan ahead (smart move), jump online tomorrow and lock in your sessions.

I honestly cannot wait to see familiar faces, feel those tight bodies again, and get back to doing what I love most—helping people feel better in their bodies.

Established in 1983 Jackie’s passion and love of massage has grown into a thriving business in Sydney’s CBD. Our mission is to provide the highest level of massage therapy and service to ensure all our clients leave feeling better, pain free and relaxed so they are able to achieve their own personal fitness and health goals. Jackie enjoys seeking out Sydney’s best therapist’s and passing on some of her own favourite and effective massage techniques to them so that all clients attending receive an amazing Remedial Massage every time.
