🙏Starting the year with outcomes that truly matter ✨

One of the most rewarding parts of community nursing is discharging a client because their wound has healed.

This client had been receiving wound care through a GP and medical centre for several months with limited progress. Following a referral under their Home Care Package, M&M Care Nursing took over wound management, implemented a comprehensive assessment, evidence-based wound care plan, and consistent follow-up.

Once appropriate wound management was in place, healing commenced and progressed steadily, leading to full resolution and discharge from our service.

This outcome reinforces the importance of:
• Early referral to specialist community nurses
• Individualised, evidence-based wound care
• Continuity and consistency in treatment

At M&M Care Nursing, our goal is not to provide care indefinitely — it is to support healing, restore independence, and step away when our job is done.

Starting M&M Care Nursing was one of the most uncertain yet rewarding decisions of my life.

Coming from a long career in the public sector with NSW Health, I stepped into the unknown — without connections, without a network — just with passion, integrity, and a deep commitment to quality care for our aged care and NDIS participants.

What followed has been nothing short of humbling.
