🎤✨ Dillon is back… and Homewood was singing along! ✨

We were so excited to welcome Dillon back to entertain our residents this week — and as always, he did not disappoint!

An excellent performer with a fantastic voice and natural stage presence, Dillon has a special way of connecting with our residents. From toe-tapping classics to heartfelt favourites, the room was full of smiles, laughter and applause.

A real highlight? 🎂 He serenaded Sophia for her birthday — a beautiful moment that made her day extra special.

🎊 Celebrating Chinese New Year at Homewood 🧧🐎

Today at Homewood we came together to celebrate Chinese New Year and welcome the Year of the Horse. It was a beautiful celebration filled with colour, culture, laughter and connection as residents and staff embraced the festivities.

Candy generously gave her time to come in and celebrate her culture with us, sharing stories and traditions that made the day even more meaningful. We enjoyed delicious Chinese food including dumplings and pork buns, exchanged good luck cards, and of course had our fortune cookies — which brought plenty of smiles and laughter around the room.

Wishing everyone a year ahead filled with strength, energy and good fortune as we welcome the Year of the Horse. 🏮✨

Stronger Every Day at Homewood 💪

John, our physio, is working absolute wonders across Homewood.

Always approachable. Always proactive. Always looking for ways to help — whether it’s supporting mobility, preventing falls, building strength, or simply encouraging someone to give it a go.

And it shows.

Our exercise class is overflowing! The energy in the room is incredible — residents supporting each other, pushing themselves, laughing, and staying active together.

This morning we brought a little piece of Italy to Homewood 🇮🇹

Espresso brewing, cannoli on the table, Italian biscuits, fresh fruit… and before we knew it, the music was on and the dancing had begun 💃🕺

There’s something magical about an Italian morning tea. The laughter gets louder, the stories get richer, and the dancing gets better with every song.

It’s been a busy and lovely week at Homewood. We enjoyed concerts, art classes and bus trips, welcomed new residents to the Homewood family, and shared a BBQ with families and friends.

Volunteers brought their time and kindness, and we loved seeing babies and children visit their loved ones — plenty of cuddles, smiles and special moments. June, Mariam and Milan led the way on the dance floor, bringing great energy and lots of smiles. Tom’s daughter, Mila, also popped in to share some cuddles with our residents, which was a highlight for many.

The Ashes spirit inspired some of our residents to have a crack indoors! 🏏
It was great to see staff and residents enjoying themselves together — from indoor cricket to Bollywood dancing and other ball sports.
