Come and see what we do and how much we love our job!! At Wise OT Solutions we have a wealth of experience managing catastrophic injuries in the Workers Care, LTCS and CTP schemes. We complete functional retraining and get people back to their daily life after complex cognitive and physical injuries such as traumatic brain injury, spinal injury, amputations and burns. Our team of OT’s can provide cognitive retraining, upper limb therapy, assessment for equipment and home modifications.

"Sounds like you go the extra mile." 💜💛

Those were the words from one of our suppliers last week, and honestly, we'll take that!

When our team needed support to secure some equipment for a client, Deb stepped in to help out.

A quick call, a short drive, and within 45 minutes everything was purchased and ready to go 🚗

Even better, the client would get a call that afternoon to arrange delivery! ✅

Shout out to our client connect team for showing exactly what “going the extra mile” looks like in action.

Our Q2 Team Day looked a little different this quarter, as we swapped assessments and admin for a little bit of theatre magic 🎭✨

We spent the day together enjoying lunch and heading to see The Lion King — a chance to connect, recharge, and spend time together outside of our usual day-to-day.

Taking time to celebrate our people, share a few laughs, and enjoy experiences together helps us bring even more energy, creativity, and collaboration back to the work we do every day.

Some of the most meaningful OT moments happen in everyday routines, like cooking together in the kitchen 🍳👨‍🍳🍽️

Kye has been working with our OT, Jo on one of the most grounding goals in rehabilitation — getting back into the kitchen and cooking independently.

Together they’ve been planning meals using handwritten recipes, practicing modified chopping techniques, working on safe cooking skills while standing, and preparing meals including spaghetti bolognese, burgers, and homemade pizza 🍝🍔🍕

These sessions are about so much more than food. They’re about rebuilding confidence, regaining skills, and rediscovering what's possible after a serious injury.

A special acknowledgement to Kye’s therapy team at Advance Rehab Centre who have worked closely with Kye to build skills that he is transferring into his day-to-day life and to icare NSW for making it all possible!

We’re so proud of Kye’s hard work — and of Jo for the thoughtful, hands-on support she brings to every session. 💜💛

It was a powerful reminder that getting back on the road isn’t just about driving. It’s about independence, confidence, and reconnecting with everyday life.

Through this story, we explored the assessment process, collaboration with suppliers, and the practical impact of tailored vehicle modifications.

Our team from Wise OT Solutions is excited to be part of the Assistive Technology Suppliers Australia (ATSA) Independent Living Expo — connecting with clinicians, suppliers and industry peers across the next few days.

We’re looking forward to plenty of great conversations about what’s working in practice, where things can be done better, and how we continue supporting people to live more independently.
