It’s Aged Care Employee Day—and we celebrated in pyjamas! 💤☕🎉

This morning at Leigh Place, our amazing team swapped uniforms for cozy PJs and enjoyed a delicious breakfast, barista coffee, and some well-deserved awards!

Our staff are the heartbeat of our home, and today was all about celebrating their kindness, dedication, and the joy they bring to our residents every day. Thank you for everything you do! 💙

🎄✨ Christmas in July at Leigh Place Aged Care – Celebrated on 25 July! ✨🎄

We may be posting a little late, but the joy and warmth from our Christmas in July lunch are still fresh in our hearts! On the 25th of July, our residents came together for a festive celebration filled with laughter, delicious food, and holiday cheer. 🎅❄️

🐾 Pet Therapy at Leigh Place! 🐾
Please join me in giving a BIG warm welcome to our newest team members — Aline and “Buddy”! 💐🐶

Starting this week, Aline and Buddy will be visiting our wonderful residents every Monday from 1:30pm to 2:30pm for the next 12 months. Buddy, our certified pet therapy dog, made his debut this week and was an absolute hit — bringing smiles, cuddles, and lots of joy all around! 😊

We’re thrilled to have them as part of our community and can’t wait to see the happiness they’ll continue to bring.

🌿 NAIDOC Week at Leigh Place 🌿

This week, we came together to celebrate NAIDOC Week — a time to honour the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Our residents enjoyed a vibrant array of activities, including:
🎨 Art & Craft – creating beautiful pieces inspired by Indigenous designs and stories
🧠 Word Games – exploring language and learning through fun and interactive games
📖 Storytelling – sharing Dreamtime stories and reflecting on the wisdom they hold
☕ Morning Tea – gathering for delicious treats and heartfelt conversations

It was a week filled with creativity, connection, and cultural appreciation. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this celebration so special.

🌵🎸 Country & Western BBQ at Leigh Place! 🎉🍔

We had a boot-scootin’ good time at our Country & Western themed BBQ this week at Leigh Place Aged Care! Residents and staff came together for a day filled with delicious food, great music, and plenty of cowboy hats and smiles.

From toe-tapping tunes to hearty BBQ fare, the spirit of the Wild West was alive and well. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the sunshine, sharing stories, and celebrating in true country style.

A big thank you to our amazing team for bringing this event to life and to our residents for making it so special. 🤠❤️
