Getting to know the meaning behind our mission… 🤍

Our beautiful Mother/Grandmother Vira, taught us that care starts with kindness and that simple truth became the heart of Bluebird. Her warmth, strength, and compassion inspired everything we do today.

Bluebird was built in her honour, and every visit, every chat, every smile carries a piece of her spirit.
What began as her way of caring for others has become our shared mission to make care personal again.

Three generations, one legacy, and a promise to keep spreading the kindness she lived by

Our Mother/Grandmother, Vira, was the heart behind it all 🩵
She believed in treating people with compassion, laughter, and respect and that simple belief became the foundation of Bluebird Aged Care & Disability Services.

Every part of Bluebird from the name to the way we care carries a piece of her warmth.
She may no longer be here with us, but her kindness is woven into everything we do 🤍

⚠️ Heatwave Alert for South West Sydney
It’s going to be a hot start to the week, with temperatures reaching 37°C on Monday and Wednesday. Please take extra care when supporting clients, travelling, or spending time outdoors.

🕶️For Support Workers:
⛱️Check your car before each shift keep cold water, sunscreen, and cooling towels on hand.
⛱️Encourage clients to stay indoors during the hottest part of the day (11am–4pm).
⛱️Monitor for signs of heat stress dizziness, headache, flushed skin, confusion, or nausea.
⛱️Keep fans or air conditioning on where possible, and close blinds to help cool rooms.
⛱️Always check in on older or medically vulnerable clients more frequently in extreme heat.

💧 For Families & Clients:
☀️Stay hydrated keep a water bottle nearby at all times.
☀️Avoid leaving anyone (including pets) in cars, even for a few minutes.
☀️If you feel unwell in the heat, call your support coordinator or seek medical help.

As a family-run NDIS provider, we started Blue Bird after caring for our own loved ones building a service founded on compassion, dignity, and respect.

We’re now looking for dedicated and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our growing team!

✨ About the Role:
You’ll be supporting NDIS participants and aged care clients with:
• Personal care (showering, dressing, grooming)
• Daily living tasks like meal prep and household duties
• Transport to appointments, social outings, and community events
• Encouraging independence, skills, and confidence
• Following care plans and maintaining accurate records

⭐️What You’ll Need:
• Minimum 1 year of experience in disability, aged care, or community support
• Cert III/IV in Individual Support, Disability, or Aged Care (or equivalent)
• Current First Aid & CPR
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working With Children Check
• Driver’s licence + reliable insured car
• Completion of the NDIS Orientation Module
• A warm, patient, and empathetic approach
