At Edgecliff Physiotherapy, we offer cold laser therapy - a gentle, non-invasive treatment that uses low-level light to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes. Unlike surgical lasers, cold laser therapy does not generate heat. Instead, it penetrates targeted tissues to help reduce inflammation, ease pain and support cellular repair.

Cold laser therapy is used alongside other physiotherapy treatments to assist with conditions such as sprains, tendinopathies, arthritis and soft tissue injuries, as well as to support faster recovery. Sessions are painless, quick and require no medication or surgery, making it a safe and effective option for many people.

To find out whether cold laser therapy may support your recovery, speak with our team and book an appointment at Edgecliff Physiotherapy today.

If you find yourself constantly stretching “tight” muscles but experiencing little to no lasting relief, the underlying issue may not be flexibility at all.

Muscle tightness often develops due to inefficient movement patterns, suboptimal breathing mechanics or certain muscles compensating for areas that lack strength or stability. At Edgecliff Physiotherapy, we take a deeper, more holistic approach by asking: Why is the muscle tight in the first place? Through improved core control, postural awareness and better movement alignment, we help reduce unnecessary tension and restore balanced, efficient function. The result is meaningful, long-term improvement, not just temporary ease from stretching.

If persistent tightness is affecting your comfort or performance, book your assessment with Edgecliff Physiotherapy today.

The ONERO program at Edgecliff Physiotherapy is a structured, evidence-based exercise class specifically designed to strengthen bones and muscles while helping to reduce fracture risk. It is particularly beneficial for individuals living with osteoporosis or osteopenia.

ONERO combines targeted resistance training, safe impact loading and balance exercises to improve bone density, increase muscle strength and enhance overall physical function. This proven approach supports safer movement, greater confidence and a reduced risk of falls. More than just general exercise, ONERO is grounded in clinical research and delivered under professional supervision.

To find out whether ONERO is suitable for you, speak with our team at Edgecliff Physiotherapy and book your assessment today.

🎇Wishing you a bright and healthy New Year from the team at Edgecliff Physiotherapy!

As the year draws to a close, we’d like to share an update on the continued growth of our team and services.

Andrea Clift has completed her four-year Feldenkrais qualification and now offers Functional Integration sessions and Awareness Through Movement classes, providing gentle, neurologically-focused movement therapy.

Micky Yim continues to support our community through her extensive experience and acupuncture practice, offering a valuable complementary approach to pain management and holistic care.

While Fiona Condie has stepped back from hands-on treatment, her Key Moves and Yoga classes remain extremely popular, with many patients benefiting from her expertise in mindful movement and postural retraining.

Our newest team member, John Kim, has thrived this year, with his hands-on physiotherapy, exercise prescription and Bones & Balance classes being exceptionally well received.

We are also fortunate to have Karen Ginn, Professor of Musculoskeletal Anatomy at the University of Sydney, practising with us and providing expert care for patients with complex shoulder dysfunction.

Across the clinic, our Key Moves exercise classes have continued to grow, with increased participation and an expanded timetable.

The GLA:D classes, led by Cindy Shaw, have delivered excellent outcomes for clients with hip and knee osteoarthritis. Looking ahead to 2026, Cindy will also deliver the evidence-based ONERO program for osteoporosis and offer one-on-one strength training in our upgraded weights studio.

We wish you a healthy and active 2026, filled with progress, energy and movement that keeps you feeling your best.
