En Psychology

En Psychology We encourage clients to be active participants in their treatment. We want you to walk out and feel that you are able to manage your struggles independently.

EN Psychology is a psychological practice focused on providing evidence based treatment for the following issues: anxiety, depression, eating disorders (binge eating, anorexia, bulimia), trauma, body image issues, low self -esteem, adult ADHD and/or work related injuries. We also focus on providing clients with a set of tools they can use independently, once the treatment is finalised.

I’ve been working with a client navigating emetophobia — the intense fear of vomiting. It’s one of those hidden but deeply disruptive phobias that can hijack daily life and lead to extreme avoidance.

I have been combining exposure-based strategies (yes, that means gently stepping into the discomfort) with EMDR therapy to reprocess past experiences.
It's been really hard even for me to listen to recordings of people vomiting... but we did it! It's still a long way... step by step, we continue...
Progress doesn’t always look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like being able to sit with discomfort for a few seconds longer.
Sometimes it’s being able to say “I was scared, but I stayed.”

Struggling with brain fog, exhaustion, or feeling stuck? You’re not alone. ADHDers often burn out harder because resting, pacing, and balance don’t come naturally.

Are You Masking Without Realising It?

Masking can be exhausting, especially when it becomes second nature. If you catch yourself mirroring others, overthinking social cues, or forcing eye contact, you might be masking without realising.

💡 You don’t have to hide who you are. Unmasking is a process, and you deserve to feel safe being yourself.

🚨 ADHD & Rejection Sensitivity – Do These Sound Familiar? 🚨

💭 Overanalysing texts, convinced someone is upset with you
💭 Feeling like a failure after one small mistake
💭 Avoiding situations just to prevent rejection
💭 Spiraling emotionally after criticism (even if it’s constructive)

If this sounds familiar, you might be struggling with Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (RSD)—one of the most painful yet least talked about experiences for ADHDers.

🔥 The good news? 🔥

EMDR is a powerful therapy that helps you rewire how your brain processes rejection and past emotional wounds so they don’t control your life anymore.

That’s exactly what we’ll be doing in my Neuroaffirming EMDR Group, designed exclusively for ADHDers who want to break free from rejection spirals and emotional overwhelm.

📆 Starts March 28

🔑 Accountability isn’t about beating yourself up for mistakes or pushing yourself to the limit. It’s about showing up for yourself with kindness and consistency. Compassion is the secret ingredient that turns self-discipline into self-love. 💕

📚 This powerful reminder from Dopamine Nation speaks to the balance we all need—acknowledging our imperfections while striving for growth. Real change doesn’t happen through judgment; it happens when we hold ourselves accountable with empathy and grace.

Understanding the 3 Types of ADHD 🧠✨

Did you know that there are 3 different types of ADHD?
1️⃣ Inattentive: Daydreaming, forgetfulness, and trouble focusing.
2️⃣ Hyperactive-Impulsive: Restlessness, fidgeting, and impulsive actions.
3️⃣ Combined: A mix of both inattentive and hyperactive-impulsive traits.

💡 Which type resonates with you or someone you know? Let’s talk about it in the comments! 💬

Language shapes how we view ourselves and others. When we use neuroaffirming terms, we show respect, reduce stigma, and empower neurodivergent individuals to feel seen and valued. 🌈

Here are some examples:
✅ Say “neurodivergent” instead of “disordered”
✅ Use “Autistic individual” rather than “person with autism”
✅ Replace “high-functioning” with “individual with specific strengths and needs”

✨ Small changes can make a big difference. Let's create a world where words uplift rather than isolate.

💬 What language feels affirming to you? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
