If dry needling scares you, let me tell you what really happens! 🥺
It’s not as scary as it sounds!
The needles are super fine (nothing like an injection) and most people barely feel them go in.
What they do feel is:
✨ Tight muscles releasing
✨ Less pain and stiffness
✨ Easier movement afterwards
Dry needling is simply a tool we use to switch off muscle tension and help your body heal faster.
Willing to give it a try?

Have you been wondering if you should exercise more?
You hear a lot about the benefits for overall fitness, weight management and energy levels, but there are a few benefits you might not know about.
Exercise can help to...
💪 Reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes
💪 Lower your blood pressure, reducing the risk of heart disease and stroke
💪 Improve your sleep quality, which helps to heal and restore your body as well as making you feel refreshed
Are you beginning a new exercise routine or activity? Make sure your not nursing an injury before taking up a new activity.

each of your fingers is made up of three bones, except for the thumb which only has two ✌🏼
Whilst each thumb has a distal and proximal phalange, the fingers also have a middle phalange which is, you guessed it, in the middle of the other two! An easy way to see these is by bending your fingers and thumbs! 🦴🖐🏼
And.. if your anything like my husband - he's trying his best to fracture all of them!

Stress fractures are usually caused by overuse or repetitive activity, and often occur when people make sudden changes, like taking up running or increasing the intensity of their workout.
The most common area for stress fractures are the bones in the foot (metatarsals) as they absorb so much repetitive force during walking and running.
Rather than a full break, a stress fracture is a small crack or severe bruising within the bone. It can still cause a great deal of pain, though, especially during activities.

O'Neill & Pross Physiotherapy has been a long term set up amongst all the chaos that is Dee Why.
Based in the heart of the Northern Beaches, Dee Why, our team of experienced Physiotherapists have worked with a good balance of elite athletes & sporting teams, along with travelling all over the country respectively.
As one of the first practices in the area, experience is definitely our strength.
Jeff has been the original owner of the business for over 35 years, and was one of (if not) the first physiotherapist in Dee Why, but has now passed the reins over to a young and vibrant Keira, to take on the next 35 years.
With huge changes taking place in Dee Why, the realm of physiotherapy has also seen many changes. No longer is ultrasound the best treatment option (in case you haven't heard) but accurate diagnosing and appropriate treatment is what we do best!
O’Neill & Pross Physiotherapy aims to help identify the root cause of the injury and provide effective long-lasting pain free results. Our 35+ years in the business showcases why we’re much more than a ‘quick fix’, and how we lead the way by doing things right the first time.
Although we are experienced with sporting athletes and teams, we too, understand that the everyday person working on the tools, or at a desk - they too, require our help.
Our treatment consists of dry needling, massage, pelvic & sacral adjustments, orthotic prescription, taping and exercise programs (where applicable).
Expect nothing but the very best during your consult. At O’Neill & Pross, our clients are completely satisfied with our hands-on, personal approach to treatment and rehab programs backed by current up-to-date (science) literature.
We look forward to seeing you down at our clinic, very soon.
