Resisting change is not bad. It is integral to change.

Resistance to change is part of being human. If we never resisted change, we would be without boundaries and vulnerable to all sorts of consequences we hadn’t considered. We would have no sense of self, and it would be almost impossible to maintain any relationship if we constantly reinvented ourselves.

Our relationships at home and work often require us to change, compromise, and reevaluate. Such demands are acceptable to us, and we probably don’t think about them much.

The harder stuff is when changes challenge our sense of self and relationship with others. Perhaps your partner wants you to change a habit, or you are working for a new manager. A refusal to change is a common first reaction and completely understandable. But when we hold our position without evaluating the pros and cons of not changing, we can find our relationships are challenged and our lives become more stressful than they need to be.

To recap. Resistance to change is universal. Resistance is integral to change. Resistance is an opportunity to learn and understand ourselves and to understand others.

All medicine has limitations and there are many solutions out there people claim to be medicine, which isn't medicine at all. It is the scientific method that helps us determine whether something is worthy to be called medicine. Yet many of us can't or won't distinguish pseudoscience from genuine science. Conventional Medicine is not perfect and has many limitations including a history questionable drug studies that have eventually lead to deaths and harmful side effects after approval. However conventional drugs and medicine have saved millions of lives and we would be in dire straits without it. We must judge all medicine using the same method not our own bias or find someone who use's evidence and not prejudice to check whether what claims to be medicine actually is. If it's too good to be true it probably is.

Doctors and other scientists must push back.

Studies have found many people with Depression have chronic inflammation. Anti-inflammatory medicine could be an effective treatment alternative to generally ineffective anti-depressant medications. A recent study reported that Curcumin (from Tumeric) and/or saffron relieves the symptoms of depression including anxiety , now often experience by people suffering from depression. Curcumin has strong anti-inflammatory properties and increase levels of BDNF - an important protein found in neuron cells that protects the cells from premature death and also improves their function. Ian Haines Monash University July 31, 2017 From the 1980s, when prostate screening became available, many men over 40 were diagnosed with early stage prostate cancer even though they may not have had any symptoms. The word cancer understandably strikes fear into the hearts of many, and most would assume the best course of action would be to have the cancer removed, whatever the side effects may be. A useful reminder of the signs you are on your way to burnout. Stress is a normal response to change, but being stressed for hours everyday is not good and we are not designed for this. Prolonged stress will eventually take a toll on your health and happiness leading to burnout.

Broccoli is much more than a great source of nutrients. It contains phytochemicals that help protect your gut from damage by toxic chemicals. A recent study proved that Broccoli activates a protective ligand called AHR. AHR protect cells in the intestinal tract from fibrosis and helps suppress inflammation. It would be very hard to avoid in-digesting any traces of harmful chemicals so it's good to know that eating broccoli , other cruciferous vegetables and fruits help protect our gastrointestinal tract from the toxins in our environment.
