QR CODE & INCREASED SCREENING As a result of the escalation in health warnings - NSW Health amber alert - regarding the COVID-19 situation, everyone entering the Mater Campus are being screened using a QR code and visitors are being asked to wear a face mask at all times.

Mater Maternity has recommenced its face-to-face post-natal classes including baby bathing, baby massage, and Transition from Hospital to Home, with social distancing measures in place. The classes hold a maximum of 10 people however we have increased the number of classes to accommodate those wanting to attend. In addition to our morning baby bathing class, we are also now offering one-on-one baby bathing lessons by appointment. Plans for our antenatal classes will be confirmed in coming weeks.

The Mater Hospital has increased its precautionary measures aimed at minimising the risk of COVID-19 to its maternity patients and their babies, and is restricting visitors to the Mater maternity unit. Partners are still welcome however we ask that other family members and friends do not visit.
Our Maternity Tours are also cancelled until further notice. These measures reflect advice from the Australian Government and NSW Health and we will update you on any changes.
