Have Your Say: Securing Sydney’s Future Burial Space 🌳

Sydney is running out of affordable and accessible burial and interment space. To address this, the NSW Government has asked Metropolitan Memorial Parks to explore new solutions.

After careful consideration, a piece of Crown land currently leased to Carnarvon Golf Club has been identified as the best location for a new, modern memorial park in the heart of Sydney.

“Our vision for the Carnarvon site is to create a modern memorial park that not only meets essential burial and interment needs but provides accessible public space for the whole community that incorporates open green spaces, landscaped areas, and amenities like walking paths.” Denise Ora said, CEO, Metropolitan Memorial Parks.

Modern memorial parks offer families dignity and choice, while also creating green spaces that bring lasting community, cultural and environmental benefits.

💬 We’re now inviting the community to share their views and help shape the future.
