Romy is a qualified Clinical and Developmental Psychologist (Cum Laude), Clinical Social Worker and an Executive Coach. She has had 21 years of private practice experience and her specific clinical interests include stress management, eating disorders, personal loss, trauma and parenting. In general she enjoys working with working with adults, couples and teenagers who express a wide range of chal

lenges, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, life transitions and lacking satisfaction in their academic or professional lives. For 15 years Romy has provided employee assistance (including trauma counselling) to an international banking group, and she has also provided both on and off site counselling to a range of corporates. Romy has run several support groups on topics such as Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia and Chronic Illnesses (most specifically cancer). She has regularly appeared on tv programmes, documentaries & news channels to discuss topics such as New Year’s resolutions, exam stress, eating disorders, body dysmorphia, body image disturbance, and the recently diagnosed “muscle morphia”. Romy strives to create a non-judgmental, warm and interactive environment in which she and you can grapple with your issues together. She uses a pragmatic approach, applying psycho dynamic and cognitive behavioral therapies. Although therapy is not easy, the process can be meaningful and life-changing when done with someone you trust.

We are all aware how in the seemingly never-still, fast pace of life it is almost inevitable for us to be faced with mental health problems, emotional challenges and even potentially be prone to developing psychiatric problems.

One method of aiding and treating with these ever present issues is psychotherapy.
