Carolyn was in Melbourne last week to attend the World Congress of Low Back Pain. The latest research in the world of low back pain was presented along with the study she was involved in.
CFT the Restore trial. Cognitive Functional Therapy for Persistant Low Back Pain.

The 3 year results were also released, which again were impressive. A reminder of what an honour it was to be selected for this study and undergo extensive training as a Physio in CFT, for the management of Persistant and Complex low back pain.

Carolyn Cole our prinicipal Physiotherapist at PilatesFocus was selected to take part in a clinical trial for the management of persistent low back pain.

This involved extensive training and a vigorous testing procedure over an extended period of time.

She was one of a handful of physiotherapists in Sydney that qualified to treat Cognitive Functional Therapy.

Some clients may remember the training as some of the training took place in our clinic

The results were very significant and showed that “cognitive functional therapy treatment halved the level of disability that patients with chronic low back pain experienced, and reduced their average pain levels by about 35 per cent”

She started coming for weekly Pilates after a serious back injury. We would all love to move as well as Wendy at her age 💪🏼

We enjoyed a delicious dinner on a beautiful summer evening at the stunning location of waterlinecronulla 🌞🌊
