Feeling overwhelmed while tapping? 💛
Sometimes emotions can rise before they release. If it feels safe to continue, gently keep tapping from the top of the head down to the ribs and allow the feelings to move through. The intensity will often begin to drop, leaving you feeling calmer and more grounded.

If the emotions feel too overwhelming or relate to deeper trauma, please seek support from a qualified EFT practitioner. You don’t have to do it alone. ✨

Returning back to my homeland of the UK has been so incredibly beautiful and, at times, quite intense in different ways as it always is when you travel and take yourself out of your normal routine. ✨

I was born here, and I left when I was 23 years old to travel and move to Australia. I spent a number of years going back and forth between the UK and Australia, finally settling there in my early 30s.

So much has happened during this last period of my life. At times, I have been deeply struck by the grief of leaving my home country, family, and friends something I didn’t consciously think about the impact of when I left.

I knew when I first went to Australia, however, that it was very good for my health, as my rheumatoid arthritis greatly improved at the time. This was a big drawcard for me.

I have had to learn to truly appreciate so many things in life and stop comparing Australia with England because they are different countries, but the same planet. 🌍

I don’t regret anything in my life, but I have been challenged in different ways by dealing with the complexities of feeling like I have a foot on either side of the planet. I am grateful, however, for all the experiences though it’s hard to say I’m grateful for some of them but I know they have formed who I am today. 💛

So deeply grateful that I discovered EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) over 20 years ago 🙏✨

Such a powerful yet gentle nervous system reset that has supported me through so many seasons of life.

EFT doesn’t mean freedom from all emotions of course… because emotions are part of being beautifully human 💛

But it does help us process the strong emotions that can keep us stuck, trapped, unwell and repeating patterns that simply no longer serve us.

For me, tapping has been a pathway back to more calm, awareness, self-compassion, healing and connection — especially when combined with the healing power of nature 🌿

Save this here as a little reminder to slow down, breathe and reconnect 💛

Ever wondered why we start tapping on the eyebrow point? 🤍

This point is located at the very beginning of the eyebrow, near the inner corner of the eye—and it’s more than just a starting place in EFT.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this point is part of the Bladder meridian.

The Bladder meridian is closely connected to the nervous system, and it’s often associated with emotions like fear, overwhelm, and stress.

So when we tap here, we’re not just following a routine we’re gently sending signals of safety to the body.

✨ We’re telling the nervous system:
“It’s okay to relax.”
“It’s safe to feel.”
“I can begin to release this.”

This is one of the reasons it’s included in the basic tapping sequence because it helps calm the system right from the start, creating a foundation for deeper emotional release.

Many people also notice that tapping on the eyebrow point can bring awareness to what’s really going on underneath the surface… those subtle thoughts, feelings, or tensions that are ready to be acknowledged and cleared.

It’s a small point but it plays a powerful role in helping you come back to calm, clarity, and connection within yourself.

Have you noticed how this point feels when you tap on it? 💫

10 years ago, Prince left this earth plane… and moved into the spiritual realm of anything and everything that’s possible where the most important thing is love.

He has shared so much with us all, shown me so many beautiful directions, so many good feelings, so many dances, and so many incredible moments in my life.

I still remember the very first time I heard him sing… I was working as a hairdresser on a Saturday, sweeping up hair from the floor and it was an instant moment of pure joy. I rushed out to get my first album. Of course it was purple rain.

Then I went deeper… into the earlier albums Dirty Mind still being one of my favourites, along with Paisley Park, and his final album Piano & a Microphone 1983.

Prince was so much wiser than his years… and he still teaches us today through his music to be mindful of the things that can cause harm… like getting lost in the digital world, being addicted to devices, and not being present with ourselves or each other.

He was conscientious, poetic, incredibly energetic truly an outstanding human being.

He will always inspire me. Whenever I need a good boogie, I just put on one of his records… and he lifts me so high. It’s pure love.

Thank you, Prince, for everything you’ve given us and for the endless music still pouring out from your vault 💜
This image here is of Me in Minneapolis his hometown. I was so blessed to go with my husband and son a few years ago and totally laptop visiting. Paisley Park is recording studio and his house and where he grew up. I literally cried when I walked into Paisley Park just the energy of all the albums he created and all his outfits there was astonishing mind blowing.

✨ TOP OF THE HEAD – EFT TAPPING POINT ✨

This is where we begin in the EFT sequence.

The Top of the Head point sits on the Governing Vessel meridian (GV20) linked to the brain and central nervous system. It’s known for helping to regulate energy, calm the mind, and bring the whole system back into balance.

Tapping here can support:
• Reducing overwhelm
• Calming busy or racing thoughts
• Bringing you into the present moment
• Supporting emotional release

Energetically, this point is often associated with mental clarity and emotional overwhelm, helping you gently process what you’re holding without needing to push it away.

Tap lightly with your fingertips and simply notice what you feel no need to change anything, just allow.

Start here. Let your body soften, one tap at a time.

There’s something so powerful about starting here… 🤍

This is the side of the hand point one of the most important points we use in EFT Tapping. It’s part of the governing vessel meridian, a central energy pathway connected to the spine, nervous system, and brain.

This point supports us in finding our voice, releasing emotional tension, and acknowledging what’s really going on beneath the surface. It can be especially supportive when working with emotions like sadness, fear, overwhelm, and inner conflict as well as helping to regulate the nervous system.

This is where we begin…
This is where we tell the truth.

We use this point to gently acknowledge what we’re feeling through a setup statement, repeated at least twice. For example:

“Even though I feel all this sadness, I honour how I feel right now.”

No forcing.
Just honest acknowledgement.

From here, we move through the rest of the points but this moment… this beginning… is where the shift starts.

✨ Your voice is heard
✨ Your feelings are valid
✨ And this is your space to meet yourself exactly where you are

It seems to have taken me 58 years to realise and really experience the restorative benefits of taking time out to rest.

For me sometimes that is literally just 10 seconds with my eyes closed, sometimes it’s 20 minutes.

I try to do this frequently throughout the day ✨

it’s not a meditation. It’s not something I set aside at a certain time of day…

it’s when I catch myself completely stressed out, or more often than not I catch myself or remember the importance of just closing my eyes and stopping all those amazing infiltration of stimulation, stimuli I should say, that comes in throughout our waking day 🤍

the benefits of stillness and moments of stillness far out way for me anyway putting a strict regime in place of a meditation for one hour or two hours a day 🙏

I don’t want to judge others for doing that, but we all have to do what’s right for us to return to stillness and feel the calm and the love, most importantly the love 💛
