What to expect when you come for a treatment
• During your treatment you will lie and rest for about 40 minutes as the experience is usually very relaxing, most people will fall asleep or at least experience a period of deep relaxation.
• Your appointment will last approximately an hour.
• We will take some personal information from you, which, is stored on a secure system and used only by us. You will be encouraged to look at all areas of your health that you feel aren’t 100%, e.g. sleep, digestion etc even if you have only come for a look at your tennis elbow.
• Occasionally miracles will happen and your condition will have dramatic improvements after only one or two treatments, however, the more profound remedies will occur with a course of treatments.
• Usually we would see you once a week for a few weeks to start with unless the situation requires more frequent treatment. When your condition improves we aim to space the treatments out until treatment is no longer needed. Treatment Costs

About Catherine Rowe
Catherine is a registered Adult and Paediatric nurse and brings her 30 years of experience in Western medicine to compliment her Chinese Medical treatments. She was very fortunate to be an apprentice to Ross Penman for seven years, she studied at the Sydney Institute of Chinese Medicine and completed an internship at Beijing’s Guang An Men Hospital. On returning from China Catherine opened her own practice in Bondi Junction in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, 17 years ago. Well known for her pregnancy and labour work as well as her general practice, Catherine treats a wide range of conditions and has the patience and tenacity to ease people out of chronic illness and towards a greater quality of life. Using food remedies for her patients Catherine will often recommend dietary or lifestyle adjustments for her patients to facilitate a swifter recovery and greater well being for the future. About Anya Rowlands
Anya Rowlands studied at the Sydney Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, graduating as class valedictorian with a Bachelor of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Anya was apprenticed to Ross Penman for 5 years, working beside him in his clinic. Anya’s focus is classical acupuncture using theories and practices from the early Han Dynasty. Anya’s focus has been in treating both children and adults with a wide spread of ailments and health conditions. From migraines to depression and anxiety, back problems, womens health and sub-fertility issues, digestive problems, sport injuries, post operative surgery, and cancer support. Anya came to acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine from a background in teaching yoga and continues to provide corrective structural exercises and nutritional guidance where appropriate for her patients. Anya thoroughly enjoys her work as an acupuncturist and seeing patients through to better health outcomes.
