The Defib Shop was founded in 2008 by Carpet Hughes and Dr Jason Bendall, both Intensive Care Paramedics with a background treating many victims of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). It was a passion for saving lives that Carpet and Jason began the Defib Shop. Knowing defibrillators do save lives gave them the drive to get defibs into our communities throughout Australia. Both have saved many cardiac arrest patients, and have met many of those they have saved following their recovery in hospital and at home. Many patients tell stories of how they have realised how precious life is, and some have lived to travel around Australia and overseas, spent important time with family and friends and found new hobbies and activities to make the most of life! The cost of a defibrillator is paled into insignificance when you save a life!

CellAED has entered voluntary administration.
Our understanding is that CellAED units will not be supported or replaced any longer.

The Defib Shop has never sold the CellAED. We were unconvinced about CellAED's claim that such a small device could deliver the electrical energy needed to defibrillate someone.
