Don’t try to figure out the perfect plan. It’s only perfect on paper anyway.

You are just procrastinating (I know, I have been there myself).

Get started and your plan will change, evolve, adapt…

I have nothing against having a plan but if it’s preventing you from getting started, no change will happen on paper. Nobody ever regrets starting too soon 🤷‍♂️

If you have been training at Flo Strength, well the stations won’t be a problem as you will have a sufficient amount of strength.
Skill is not a factor at Hyrox although, of course, you can always improve a bit there and save some energy/mistakes.

Knowing your pace on the ergs, being efficient on burpees, no making mistakes on wall ball and going to depth. All of this matters if you are good enough at running.

The worst thing you can do is arrive gassed out at your stations. You need to know your running pace and run your own race 💪

Don’t feel overwhelmed, start small and start with the things that are going to bring some easy wins or a lot of change because that will make you feel good to see results 😉.

Decide now what you want your retirement to look like.

I personally never want to be in a position where my body won’t allow what I want to do.

Those decisions are made in our 30s and 40s, a small investment in your health now will make the biggest difference in your 70s. It doesn’t have to be perfect, it doesn’t have to be a complete overhaul but take a step in the right direction.

Here are our tips.
1. Eat before you go
2. If it’s work related and you get asked for your dietary requirements, no bread / no pasta. If you ask gluten free you will get bread and pasta 😂
3. Don’t try to explain why you don’t drink. Keep it short and simple. It makes people feel like there is no room for negotiations.
4. After a while people around you get used to it and even expect it from you 😉
