A client told me last week she couldn’t figure out why she felt bloated and run down every winter — until we looked at her gut habits.

Your gut is your secret defence system — but winter stress, heavy foods and sugar weaken it. That means more colds, more tired days and a sluggish mood.

I was chatting with a client last week who thought she just had to accept feeling flat every winter. But the truth is, winter affects your body in ways most people don’t realise. Without knowing the implications, we rush and rush, as we can in summer. This can leave us feeling lost, disconnected, in pain and intensifies the winter blues… and I don’t want that for you!
