What Strength Can Cost You

So many women I meet have built incredible lives ,businesses, families, homes....by being strong.

But sometimes, that strength becomes a shield.

They’ve learned to lead, to protect, to provide… because they didn’t feel anyone else could.

And now they find themselves exhausted, disconnected, and longing for a love that feels safe enough to soften into.

For years, I wore the mask of strength.
I did it all, held it all, carried it all.
I chose men who couldn’t choose me fully…
who couldn’t lead, protect, or hold me because deep down, I didn’t believe they could.

I grew up watching a father who had no voice.
Who didn’t take up space, who didn’t lead with strength or love, this is not a judgement, just how that little girl experienced life.
And it left a little girl inside me believing:
If I don’t do it myself, it won’t get done.

But that “strength” was actually a wound.
It hardened me, wore me down, and left me longing to feel held, safe, and soft.

The most profound healing work I’ve done was to grieve that little girl’s pain…
…to release the belief that I had to become the man in my own life…
…and to allow myself to be seen, led, and loved by a man who does not shrink.

That is the work I now hold space for other women to do.
To come home to their softness, their essence, their trust.

Torn between my head and my heart.

Lately, I’ve felt the tension between what my mind thinks is right and what my heart deeply feels it wants.

I can see the vision so clearly. I know where I’m going and what I’m building. And yet… there are needs and desires that pull me in other directions. It’s a quiet battle some days — between logic and longing, discipline and desire.

But what always brings me back is my body.

Because my body never lies. It’s my compass — whispering through my breath, my gut, my skin, my energy. Reminding me of what’s true, what’s aligned, and where I’m forcing versus flowing.

So today I’m sitting with that. Trusting the signals. Honouring the feelings. Choosing to listen to the wisdom that lives below the noise.

The Healing is in the Honesty

You don’t need to be high vibe.
You don’t need to manifest harder.
You don’t need to bypass the mess.

I Thought I Had to Earn Rest

I used to believe I had to earn rest.
That I had to tick every box, meet every need, give every drop — then maybe I deserved stillness.

But that’s just burnout in a pretty outfit.

Now I know:
Rest isn’t a reward.
It’s a reclamation.

When women come into session with me, they often sit down and say:
“I don’t even know what I need… I just know I can’t keep going like this.”

That’s enough.
You don’t need a plan.
You just need a place to begin.
