The Holliday season is upon us! Just like you - we are looking forward to spending some time with our loved ones this Christmas. As usual, we TOTALLY have you covered and will be open throughout the period with the exception of Sundays and public holidays. Please note our opening hours below. We have kept aside many “on the day” appointments to ensure we can attend to any urgent things that may crop up for you or your loved ones at this time. Today is World Menopause Day! It has been wonderful to witness the increase in awareness and open conversations about this transitional time in a woman’s life. There are a lot of great resources (and an equal amount of misinformation) available online. For factual general info we recommend the Australasian Menopause Society (link in comments). For personalized advice we recommend you consult with a GP with a special interest in menopause. We have several at Rozelle Total Health.

I believe General Practice is the heart of Australian’s good health.

With increasing healthy, enjoyable and active life spans we need to increase GPs capacity to care for long term and preventable disease in the community. This means more GPs with strong community commitment. It also means re-jigging our health infrastructure and clinical systems to cater for the changing burden of chronic conditions on the community.

This is an urgent problem. Even in the most well doctored areas, GP wait times are increasing and Emergency Departments are under immense pressure to solve problems that don’t need Emergency care.

GPs, patients and everyone who understands this needs to get active in advocating for Australia’s health in the next 50 years.

Wowzers! Look what happens when excellent people have an excellent idea! Dr Maryanne Docker, feeling devastated about the bombing of the hospital in Gaza, came up with an initiative to donate a days pay to Medecins Sans Frontieres. Thanks to team RTH, the amazing team at The Physiotherapy Clinic and a number of our generous patients - we have cracked $13k.
