Rolled oats make a great start to the day. Low gi, good slow release carbs, beta glucan to lower cholesterol, quick to make and seriously cheap. Soak the oats in water overnight. Drain then cook for about 5 minutes with your choice of milk. Add some seeds, lsa mix, pysillium husks, h**p seeds....whatever you fancy. I spiced either vanilla bean, cinnamon and cocoa nibs today, top with berries and a good glug of pure cream. Good morning!

At this time of the year, I add garlic to everything, it's the original "superfood" in my opinion, I even add it to breakfast. My friends haven't run a mile yet.

It's antiviral and antibacterial properties help fight infection including the common cold.

Garlic has been shown to inhibit the fungi that cause athlete's foot, it may neutralize Helicobacter pylori, which causes ulcers.

It’s low in calories and very rich in Vitamin C, Vitamin B6, and Manganese and may help lower high blood pressure and elevated cholesterol.

The sulphur compounds in garlic have been shown to protect against organ damage from heavy metal toxicity. Plus it’s easy (and delicious) to include garlic in your current diet. It complements most savory dishes, particularly soups and sauces. The strong taste of garlic can also add a punch to otherwise bland recipes.

Tell me what's your favorite way to use garlic.

Breakfast of champions! Miso is an amazing gut healing food, especially when made in a broth or stock base. Look for traditional miso with the words raw or unpasteurised on the packaging. bring your liquid to the boil then allow to cool for a few minutes before adding the paste, good bacteria don't love high heat. so much better than instant and just as quick. Add an egg for protein and your set till lunch.
