Mel Schilling sat with strangers on MAFS at their most broken and helped them find their way back to each other. She did it for twelve years. She did it through surgery, through chemotherapy, through the kind of fear most of us will never have to face. She showed up - every single time - with warmth, with wisdom, and with an honesty that made you feel like she was talking directly to you. Because she was.

This week she shared the hardest news. Her cancer has spread to her brain. Her doctors have told her there is nothing more they can do. And in the middle of all of that, in the middle of her own devastating reality, she turned to face us and asked one thing. If something does not feel right, please get it checked out. It might just save your life.

That is who Mel Schilling is. That is the kind of human being we do not come across often enough. We are holding her, her husband Gareth, and their daughter Maddie with everything we have got. And we are honouring her ask by putting this story in front of as many people as possible, because somewhere in your feed right now, someone needs to read it.

The full story, her journey, the symptoms to never ignore, what bowel cancer screening actually looks like in Australia, and where to find integrative practitioners who can help, is live now in Breaking Wellness News inside our RESET Directories. Save it. Share it. It might be the most important thing you do today.

MAFS expert Mel Schilling's cancer has spread to her brain. Her message to us all: listen to your body. Here's what you need to know about bowel cancer symptoms and screening.

The most discussed woman on the planet just picked Sydney for her next conversation. And she is keeping it intimate. The ‘’Her Best Life Retreat’’ at InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach is the event of 2026 and it is not close. The Iran conflict isn’t unfolding in some distant news cycle you can mute and move on from. It’s already here: inside your fuel costs, your grocery bill, and that low-grade tension sitting in your chest you absolutely can put a name to. War. Cost of living. AI reshaping everything overnight. People are stressed.

People are anxious. And most of the information out there is either spin, speculation, or silence. This is disclosure. A straight-up breakdown of what’s actually happening, how it’s landing in Australia, and what you can do to stay ahead of it.

This is where wellness meets the real world. Global instability shows up in your cortisol, your pantry, your mortgage stress, and your ability to make calm decisions when everything feels uncertain. We broke it all down so you can stop doomscrolling and start doing something useful with the information.

We’ve got you covered.

This is the piece nobody else wrote. Kyle Sandilands: brain aneurysm, aortic aneurysm, calcium crushing his heart, 138kg, stood down, twenty-year partnership gone. We went deep on his entire health history, year by year, diagnosis by diagnosis, and what emerges is a textbook story of what chronic inflammation does to a human body when it’s been ignored long enough.

And here’s the thing… this forced pause might just be the greatest gift he’s ever been given. The time, the space, the silence to finally put his health first. For him. For Tegan. For Otto. The science, the psychology, and the actual roadmap to turn it around, because the body is remarkably good at healing when you give it what it needs. And that starts with what’s on your plate.

RFK Jr sat down with Joe Rogan on February 27 and said fourteen peptides are coming back to legal compounding in the US. The biohacking world immediately lost its mind. Dave Asprey called it a win. Clinics started updating their menus. And Australians opened their phones, watched the whole thing unfold, and quietly asked the only question that actually matters here is how does any of this apply to us?

Two Quay and Bentley alumni walked into Vaucluse. Abby James and Thai Sams decided to cook the kind of food that makes people book return visits before they have finished their entrée. The entire menu is 100% gluten free, coeliac certified, organic and cooked in olive oil, with vegan and vegetarian options throughout. There is a koi pond, turtles sunbaking on rocks, kitchen garden, and a woodfired focaccia that is gluten free and better than most regular focaccia you have ever had.

From whipped tarama and Skull Island tiger prawns to dry aged duck and Kinross station lamb, every dish lands like it was made specifically for you. The drinks list leans into organic wine, and if you really want to commit to the day, pair it with a signature massage at Sol Spa next door, Australia and Asia’s best spa of 2024, before you sit down to eat. They have a package for that to.

A $2.6 billion entertainment city just got lodged with council in Queensland; and before the noise starts, before every travel outlet runs the same render and calls it breaking news, we’re calling it early. Infinity Planet is a 68 hectare master planned destination sitting between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, and it is the kind of project that only comes around once. Theme park. Global cultural mall spanning 50 countries. A 10,000 seat City Hall. Rooftop pools, waterfall, gardens, beach area and 2,943 hotel rooms. Opening in stages from 2027.

Here is the wellness angle nobody is talking about yet. Cultural immersion is one of the most evidence backed mood and cognitive reset tools we have. Add 5,000 new jobs to a regional community, green resort grounds designed for slow living, and a precinct built around connection, food and shared human experience and you are looking at destination design that actually does something for people. Joy is a health outcome. This one is worth watching.

Every development, destination and experience worth knowing about gets tracked inside Breaking Wellness News on BioHax.

Australia's most ambitious tourism project is coming to Queensland. Infinity Planet brings a theme park, 2,943 hotel rooms and a global cultural mall to one epic precinct.

You know water is life until someone decides it’s a commodity. In Elbow Valley, drought-stricken farmers watched a foreign company get handed a 92-year licence to pump 96 million litres a year while towns ran dry. Emergency restrictions, empty taps, and not a single accountability measure in sight. Welcome to the reality of Queensland’s water politics.

It’s not a conspiracy. It’s 18 years of bipartisan failure, broken promises, and corporate ambition running wild. Locals are now staring down a bottling factory the size of a football field, trucks rolling over crumbling roads, and endangered species wondering what’s left to drink. Clean water, sovereign land, and community rights… these aren’t buzzwords. They’re survival.

Every update, every outrage, every policy shift stacked weekly under Breaking Wellness News in our BioHax Brief directories. Save it. Share it. Stay informed. Link in bio under Breaking Wellness News and if you’re on Facebook it’s in the comments below.
