Motion is lotion! The most recent evidence shows that exercise for back pain is the best management! For individuals with acute low back pain, serious pathologies must first be ruled out through thorough physio assessment. Then, mobility and exercise can commence in a pain-free manner.
Exercises should be individualised by your physiotherapist and can be completed alongside education and activity modifications. From here, other interventions may be considered (where appropriate) to assist treatment, including heat, massage, Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory medications and acupuncture.
