🌞 Good morning from Bali, friends! 🌴
I'm back in this beautiful paradise, and I wanted to share a glimpse of my morning routine with you all. Today, I'm kicking things off with a headstand, the ultimate youth-boosting pose! 🧘‍♀️✨
Did you know that headstands are not only great for blood circulation in our brain but also a fantastic therapy for dementia? Plus, they make you feel like a kid again! Who doesn't want to turn back the clock a little? 😉
Here I am, rocking my headstand. As a yoga teacher, I believe in embracing our bodies at every age, and I’m having a blast doing it! (Yes, even in this daring outfit! 😂)
Headstands are not just about strength and balance; they're about having fun and feeling youthful. So, let's flip our perspective and get upside down today! 🌟

Yoga Nidra can be a wonderful practice to start the day. Although it is traditionally used for deep relaxation and often performed before sleep, practicing Yoga Nidra in the morning can help set a calm and focused tone for the day ahead. Here are some reasons why Yoga Nidra can be beneficial in the morning:

1. Mental Clarity:Yoga Nidra helps clear the mind of any lingering thoughts or stress, providing mental clarity and focus for the day.

2. Reduced Stress: Starting the day with Yoga Nidra can reduce stress and anxiety, creating a peaceful mindset to handle daily challenges.

3. Increased Energy: Although deeply relaxing, Yoga Nidra can also refresh and rejuvenate the body, giving you a gentle boost of energy.

4. Enhanced Creativity: The practice can open up creative channels, making it easier to tackle tasks with a fresh perspective.

5. Positive Mindset: The affirmations and visualizations used in Yoga Nidra can foster a positive and optimistic outlook for the day.

6. Mindfulness: Practicing Yoga Nidra in the morning promotes mindfulness, helping you stay present and engaged throughout the day.

If you decide to incorporate Yoga Nidra into your morning routine, consider a shorter session to avoid feeling too relaxed or sleepy. The key is to find what works best for you and aligns with your personal needs and schedule

Our story

What is Ki Meridian Yoga? Ki Meridian Yoga is a way of exploring, understanding and developing your life through a system of analysis and personal practice. It’s about finding a way, your Way, in the complex ‘way of the world’. Ki Meridian Yoga is a fusion of two great Eastern philosophical and practical traditions: it uses the diagnostic and philosophical insights of ancient Taoist observations to analyse, order and adapt the traditional poses and breath techniques of Hatha yoga. And central to this is the Meridian system, a simple lattice of channels in the body that carry the ‘force of life’ (ki) that keeps everything functioning and integrates all aspects of our living. Through this universal Meridian system a sore throat can be relieved with a stretch of the legs, asthma can be controlled by a breathing technique or a bad back can be settled with a dose of salt. Bigger issues can be affected by a range of yoga strategies designed through the Meridian system. And all these symptoms can be understood in a bigger context of behaviour, diet, your job or your happiness. All this adds up to tell you how to maintain your path in life and thrive. There are 12 major Meridians in the body and each of them governs a specific organ, a path around the body as well as how you feel and act. If the full ‘force of life’ (ki) is not coursing through these channels then your body can malfunction, causing aches, pains, debility and all its psychological associations of moods and behaviour. Ki Meridian Yoga stretches and strengthens the flow of life around these channels. It can be general or it can have a theme like heart strength and happiness or be very specific and fix an individual complaint. Enjoy Ki Meridian Yoga and use it to explore the full meaning of poses and find that meaning in your life. Jack Marshall
