A huge congratulations to Mahsa on completing her PhD! Her thesis focused on understanding how chronic pain impacts fall risk and mobility in ageing. We are very proud and wish her every success for the future. Congratulations Dr Mahsa! 🎓🎉

RECRUITEMENT STARTED!!📥

We have started recruitment and seeking participants to participate in a new FALL prevention training program, LEAP. This is a collaborative research project led by researcher of UNSW and NeuRA Neuroscience Research Australia)

Falls are not inevitable.
The environments we live, move and work in play a major role🏡
Falls happen when environmental hazards, behaviours, and intrinsic factors interact. Many risks are simple to fix: clutter, poor lighting, loose mats, uneven surfaces, and outdoor trip hazards💦💡⚠️
Improving environments — at home, in the community, and through better planning and design — can make a meaningful difference.
Small changes help people stay active, independent and safe🙂

We were delighted to have Prof Francesca Morganti and Inaihá visit us today from the Centre for Healthy Longevity at the University of Bergamo!

They tried the SmartStep mat and Slip and Trip Walkway and gave an informative seminar about the interesting work they do. Thank you for visiting us! 😊
