🏉Proud of this Colts Group who fought all the way till the final buzzer. COVID has made 2020 a weird and long year - but wouldn’t want to change it for any different.
Physio’s play an important role with coaches + support staff in preparation, rehabilitation and game day management for sports players.
Dealing with 16-20 years olds have their challenges, and keeps you on your toes but they they make it all the more enjoyable of a season 😂

#1 BEST GLUTE EXERCISE⠀

◀️Following on from my previous post – here is my TOP Glute Medius exercise to complete at home. All you require is a band. ⠀

🤩Glute Medius is an important contributor and deep stabiliser for your pelvis when walking, running and single leg weightbearing. Not only is this exercise a great preventer for low back, knee and hip pain, it builds a fuller 🍑 ⠀

‼️This exercise is advanced and challenging, but is my GO TO prescribed exercise, as it can works both sides! ⠀

🏉It’s crazy to think there’s an indefinite pause on sport for the foreseeable future. I have had the opportunity to work with and Gen Blue program last year as a physiotherapist. Forever grateful for .rehab for allowing me to practice and educate semi-professional athletes on the Northern Beaches.
🙋‍♂️Itching for the boys to get back on the field sometime this year and to support them on their journey to winning the .

❓HOW DOES ONLINE PHYSIO WORK? .
🧐You might be wondering what’s involved with an online consultation. All you need is internet, laptop with camera or a phone! .
Here is what you need to do: .
1️⃣: Go to Physiowardonline.com.au (check the website in my bio).
2️⃣: Fill our the injury form relevant to your area and follow the prompts. .
✅AND THATS IT! It is as simple as that. We will be in contact with you to arrange an appointment time that best suits you! .
🏃‍♀️🧎What treatment will you receive ? .
3️⃣: We will perform objective assessments to assess your current injury and current progress.
4️⃣: We will go over rehab exercises using equipment IN YOUR OWN HOME - over video to ensure you are doing the right movement.
5️⃣: You will be given a GOALS Sheet which will summarise all key points from the consultation! .

📖ATTENTION ALL OFFICEWORKERS: What is a "perfect posture"? Can you sit with your back straight all day? Did your parents say that if you sat with a "perfect posture" you wouldn't get back pain?
❌Let's be practical here. I myself can't sit in a chair for more then 30 miniutes without slouching over. It's practically impossible to sit upright in a "perfect posture" all day. Does that mean you won't get pain? No!
🤸‍♂️Solution: Break up very hour at the 00:50 minute mark - get up and go for a walk, have a cup of water and mobilise for 5-10 mins.
🧘‍♀️Movement is key.
