Whilst it’s often meant to be motivating, sometimes it feels more like a punch in the gut than a pep talk 😩.
Because what someone can do is shaped by so many invisible things:
- their training history
- years of body awareness
- injuries (past and present)
- anatomical variations (arm length for example)
- time or training limitations
- work and life commitments
- energy to train
- support system... you get the idea.
So if you’re feeling disheartened watching someone else nail a move you’ve been working on for months—this is your reminder: You’re not behind. You’re on your own path.
- Every body is different. Every journey is valid.
- Progress isn’t linear, and it’s definitely not copy-paste.
- You’re still allowed to be proud of your pace.
Let’s normalise not being able to do something right away—and still showing up anyway.
