A week on from the conference —
and still reflecting on how small decisions shape outcomes.

Not always about doing more,
sometimes about understanding better.

Back in clinic this week with a slightly different lens.

Breast implants aren’t designed to last forever.

That’s why regular checks matter, even if everything feels normal.

Screening helps monitor both implant condition and overall breast health.

⚠️ Always consult a qualified professional.

A bit of time behind the scenes this week preparing for the Australasian College of Phlebology Scientific Meeting in Melbourne.

These moments of reviewing, refining, and reflecting are an important part of clinical practice — even if they happen quietly in the background.

Looking forward to the discussions, learning, and exchange of ideas over the coming days.

Finally, Wagga Osteopathy is all settled into our new home!

It’s been a busy few weeks, and I am so excited to finally show you all where I’ve been hiding! Moving into St George Family Medical Centre has been such a fantastic transition.

At our new home, you’ll find more room, more natural light, and the same dedicated osteopathic care you know and trust.

The staff here have been so welcoming, and the professional medical environment is the perfect fit for our exciting new chapter (more details to come! 🤫).

Now that the dust has settled (and I’ve finally caught my breath), I can’t wait to see you all in my new room.

Joint pain is common, and in many cases it improves with time, rest, and gradual return to activity.

However, when pain persists for several weeks, keeps returning, or begins to limit movement and daily activities, it may be worth having it assessed.

Careful clinical assessment can help clarify possible contributing factors and guide the most appropriate management approach.

If you are experiencing persistent joint pain, it may be something to discuss with your doctor during a consultation.

Varicose veins are often thought of as a cosmetic issue, but in some cases they may also be associated with symptoms.

People sometimes report leg heaviness, swelling, itching, or skin changes around the ankles.

When symptoms persist, a clinical assessment can help determine whether the veins are contributing and what management options may be appropriate.

If you have ongoing symptoms in your legs, it may be worth discussing this with your doctor during a consultation.

When it comes to weight and metabolic health, many people feel the first step must be medication.

In reality, the starting point is often assessment — understanding sleep, nutrition patterns, activity levels, stress, and medical context.

Sustainable change tends to come from structured, individualised planning rather than quick solutions.

If you’re considering support around weight, metabolic health, or lifestyle change, this is something we can explore during a consultation.

Measles is back in NSW, with recent exposure sites reported across Sydney and other regions. NSW Health is asking people to stay alert for symptoms and to check updated exposure locations.

Measles spreads through the air and can cause serious complications (including pneumonia and, rarely, encephalitis).

Higher-risk groups include:
• Babies under 12 months (too young for routine vaccination)
• Pregnant people
• People with weakened immune systems
• Anyone unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated
• Adults who have not had 2 doses of MMR

What to do
1. Check the NSW Health measles exposure locations page
2. Monitor for symptoms for up to 18 days after exposure
3. If symptoms develop, call ahead before attending a clinic/ED and wear a mask

For certain recent exposure times, NSW Health advises calling your Public Health Unit (1300 066 055), especially if unvaccinated or if you’re pregnant / immunocompromised / have an exposed infant.

Vaccination has made measles deaths in Australia rare compared with past decades.
MMR is routinely recommended at 12 months and 18 months. If you’re unsure of your status, speak with your GP or pharmacist.
